India Bazaar — Local services in Malden

I so wanted to like this store because this is the only decent store Indian store in Malden. I bought a few groceries the first time and everything was great. The second time I went to the store to pick up two specific items that I needed. This time, both of the food items I picked were not in edible state. One of them was so rotten, it had worms crawling around in it. It is definitely not a good sign if two out of two items you picked are not good.

I went back to the store to exchange those items for fresh ones. Guess what! the owner did not want to exchange them and he was just plain rude about it too. At this point, I was not ready to ruin my day over a few bucks, I just walked out of there.

I guess the owner has enough customers that he would not care about new business. I am never stepping in this store again. If you ever decide to go to this store, please make sure you look at the expiration dates...

Worst indian store I have ever visited. If I could give them a zero star I would. First time I got a container of rice and it had bugs in it and then I went back to exchange it, they refused to take it back. I asked to speak to the owner but the guy at the cashier refused to call the owner. I ended up leaving the rice there at the counter because there’s no way I would take it back to my house. How can you sell a rice that has moving bugs larvae in it? I used to go to this store often but be aware of buying their stuff specially rice they sell expired items that might get you sick.
