As a New Yorker whoās had the original, REAL Prince Street Pizza many times, I cannot recommend this place. I REALLY wanted to like it. But unlike Grimaldiās who has also expanded outside NYC, itās obvious PSP hasnāt been strict enough with their franchisees. Besides the dough, which was passable as NY pizza, everything else was subpar; the sauce, the cheese. The āza here is being made with low to medium quality ingredients and it shows! Give Robertaās in Culver City and Grimaldiās (if they have one in LA, I tried the Dallas location and it tasted like NYC Grimaldiās) a try⦠these joints protected their product and it shows. I guess thatās what happens when you just start chasing those Benjamins, opening up locations rapid fire and forgetting about what made you in the 1st place. As an Angeleno, you might think this is good pizza. Itās not. A NYC 99cents pizza is sadly better than this $8 slice. Whoever is in charge of QC for Prince Street Pizza and their name should be fired. Whatās that I smell? Disrespect, donāt skimp on ingredients for your bottom line. The disrespect for the OG Prince Street Pizza is palpable here. RIP Prince Street. Itās going the way of Little Cesarās⦠what a g-damn shame. SMH.
PS. I got take out, but I followed their heat up directions⦠and besides a NYer knows how good pizza cold tastes. This was def not that, cold or hot. And I tasted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am leaving this review for the staff who helped my daughter and me visiting from out of town. We were charging our vehicle near Prince Street Pizza around 8 PM, when we were approached by a man out of the blue. He started chasing us and we immediately ran knowing that he was likely going to harm us. Prince Street Pizza was the closest place and we ran indoors frantically asking for help. The staff was amazing as the cashier immediately called 911, the cook ran from behind the counter, and a gentleman, presume the manager ( wish we would have asked his name) got our belongings (purse, phones) from our unlocked car. He remained with us and even went searching for the man to confront him. We were so terrified and he was such a God send. He walked us to our charging vehicle and waited until we pulled off, to ensure we were safe. We were just some midwesterners assuming that we were safe to charge our rental in Malibu, of all places, when we were chased and would have likely been assaulted. Thank you to everyone who helped us and btw, the pizza looked and smelled amazing! We were too badly shaken, to even try a slice. If the gentlemen who helped us reads this, please know we are so very grateful for your help and would love to know your name, so that we can thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is an iconic NY city pizza spot that attracts crowds in NYC.
They are famous for their square cut pizza by the slice loaded with pepperoni.
There are several locations that have opened up recently in LA and I finally got to try our La version of the famous pie to see how it compares to the one in NY.
Honestly I couldn't tell the difference! Same great taste!
They offer pizza by the slice or by the whole pie. It's a quick and easy spot since everything is made and they heat up the slices in the over for you.
They offer 3 different style pizzas...the OG square cut, a thin crust and a thinner square style pizza. My all time favorite one is the "Naugtht Pie" which has spicy vodka sauce, loads of pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, ricotta and a hot honey drizzle. DELISH! It's the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Definitely a great addition to the LA...
