The decorum of the restaurant is a distraction from just HOW GOOD this place is. I walked in and I was immediately welcomed by Wais (pronounced like rice with a leading "W"). He handled my concerns about claiming to make the best shawarma, indicating that they make the best Chicken shawarma specifically. I jokingly rebuked him saying that shawarma is only legitimate if it is made with beef-lamb. He handled it very well. Anyway, he helped me submit my order for a very plain lamb shawarma. No lettuce, no onion, no french fries (in it); JUST PLAIN. I told him that I have not had an excellent shawarma like I was accustomed to eating when I lived in The Netherlands (Holland). Yep you read that right. Holland! Truth-be-told it was probably an Egyptian-owned restaurant, but they made the most delicious lamb shawarma and I have not had anything of the likes of their flavor-profile for nearly 40 years. TODAY I met the closest thing to that experience! I will come back. They now just need to remain friendly, and provide great customer service and I will continue to return.
