I've visited this IHOP numerous times as the service was impeccable, however it seems that all of the staff is new. My husband and I visited this past Sunday March 19th 2017 and I tell you, Please do not go. My husband and I witnessed 3 separate customers complaining about our waitress after they had received their food. A) she added an additional item to one customers receipt. B) when we were seated, there was a table of three across from us that were already seated (it appeared that they had been seated for a little while already)but had ordered and was waiting for the food. C) There was another gentleman who was complaining that another waitress never came back to his table after he was provided with his food and needed his check. Ok, so my husband and I are seated and we ordered as we already knew what we wanted. Everything starts out great. We got our drinks .... and we are waiting on our food. ( by the way my food came before the party of three that was seated across from us. ) So my food comes and my husband's order is wrong. As I am starving my husband says to me please go ahead and begin eating. As someone other than our waitress brought the food. So she's heading back to the kitchen to inquire(I'm assuming here) 1) where is the food my husband ordered? 2) how did this happen? Ok, so things happen,we are understanding people and are waiting patiently. So it's half an hour later and I have completely devoured what was in front of me. By this time I am boiling inside because I have already eaten and no one has come back to our table. We ask another waitress to speak to the manager. As our waitress has disappeared from the floor. The manager comes and automatically wants to comp my food. My husband assures him. We will pay for the food that was given but asked the manager whether he wanted to know about the service we received?.... (It's not always about free.) The managers response," but you don't have to pay for this". Ok so this was suppose to be a pleasant experience. We live in Hartford drove all the way to Manchester because the food and service has always been excellent to encounter this. IT WAS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY. I wanted a lovely experience with my husband before we went shopping. Sooo, my husband asks the manager for the General managers business card as he too could use a little training. Upon the mangers return he provides my husband with the General mangers business card and we ask that the waitress please bring the check. Do you know that all of the waitress were off the floor. We waited and waited no one came. So finally my husband leaves our table tags down another waitress who just popped out and informs her that we are leaving and thank you for a half free brunch. Please don't forget my husband hasn't eaten yet. Thanks IHOP! No worries, I will not mention my waitresses name as everyone deserves a second chance. Great location food was good but staff desperately needs training. I gave one star because the service was crap....
Read moreI thought I would have a good experience here considering how welcoming the staff were but things quickly took a turn for a the worse. About 3 servers greeted us upon arriving. Our initial server was unable to seat us in her section due to the tables being dirty. So we were placed into another section and given another server. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders. A hot tea and a water with lemon. We received our drinks but a few things were missing. The lemon was not there and I only received cream. Our table did not have sugar so I had to wait for our server to come back. We waited and our server came to take our full order. We ordered the Split Decision Breakfast. It came with 2 pancakes, french toast, sausages, regular bacon, and turkey bacon. We again asked for sugar and the lemon. We waited and our server gave us the sugar but no lemon. We continued to wait and received half of our order. The pancakes were still missing and still no lemon. Not to mention the turkey bacon was completely burnt. After she placed the food she ran off and the other servers were having a party in the corner for a staff member so we were unable to let her know about the burnt bacon. After waiting again our server came with the pancakes and the lemon. We asked for new turkey bacon because it was inedible. She returned with the bacon and we ate. When it was time to pay our server was no where to be found. She finally brought the check and we left. Sad to say we received subpar service and I will not be returning. I was generous with two stars but this place really deserved one. This location was altogether unprofessional. Read moreIHOP Deming street has the worst waiting management system. IHOP has always been one of my favorite restaurant. Today I decided to take my pregnant wife to Ihop for breakfast but we left without dining which I was so eagerly waiting for. When we reached we were told at the reception that we had to wait for 30-40mins, due to covid situation they were maintaining less occupancy. So we were fine with that and in the meantime since we saw many people waiting outside the restaurant decided to finish some work we had. Within 15 mins we received a text stating that they are ready with the table and we will have to be there in 5mins. So we left immediately and was there within 7-8 mins. On reaching we were told that our reservation has been cancelled since we were late by few minutes and need to make a new reservation. Most restaurants have a 10-15mins buffer time to reach to your reservation. But this is totally unacceptable that only 5 mins waiting time is provided. Firstly, we were told that it will take 30-40 mins and then suddenly within 15mins the table is ready. So, one should be given 10-15 mins grace time to reach the spot. Secondly, we understand that may be we were not there within 5 mins but they should have atleast made it a courtesy to help us get a table soon and not go for a new reservation which was again a 15-30 mins wait time. We were not the only one facing this problem, the family who were before us faced a similar problem.
