Panera Bread — Restaurant in Manchester

My business has been going here for years for lunch and in the last couple years noticed how horrible the service is. When this location opened we actually went there 5 days a week for 6 years straight! As the service began to decline we mostly started looking elsewhere for lunches, other than every once in a while. Lately almost every order has had something wrong with it even though there is someone "checking the orders". When observed it is actually more like they check to make sure the ink printed correctly on the receipt because they neglect to actually compare the receipt to what is truly in the bag. The last two times we have picked up orders we called to discuss major discrepancies in what we ordered compared to what we actually received. The manager never apologized and got an attitude when we questioned the way orders are "checked" and proceeded to tell us how they rarely receive more than 2 complaints a month. If a month was classified as one day's single lunch hour then that might be a little more accurate. Anyway, my suggestion would be to avoid this location if at all possible as they clearly are mismanaged and do not stand behind their mistakes the way other...

I would like to preface this review by saying that I don’t usually go out of my way to write bad reviews, but my experience today with this location was extremely disappointing. My partner and I stopped here on a road trip because we normally love Panera and it was right off the highway. We placed our order for pick up through the app a few minutes before closing, but we still expected the same quality of food as if we ordered at any other time of day.

The little amount of toppings on my partner’s sandwich were lazily placed on a baguette (not even the type of bread that we put on the order). We did not even recognize it was a sandwich until we separated the breads. In addition to that, my order was slightly wrong in various ways. I had ordered plain mac and cheese, but I was given mac and cheese with broccoli and carrots and I had asked for pickled red onions and was given raw red onions.

If you need a place to stop for food that’s a short trip from the highway, I recommend the poke bowl place next to this Panera or perhaps the McDonalds across the street. Maybe at those places you’ll get...

I either have bad luck or this location has terrible employees. No matter when I order or what I order something goes wrong. For example today I ordered using the app. Got 2 soups in bread bowls. Now on the app it showed that the bread bowl was available. When I arrived and the runner came out with my food, the receipt was written on saying no bread bowls. Now at this point I already paid via the app. The runner didn’t say anything about getting a refund (there’s an up charge for a bread bowl). So I ran back in. What did I see behind the checkout counter? 2 bread bowls!!! What the heck? When I told the employee they shrugged and was not particularly sorry. More like, “oops, forgot to check the front display.” Yeah ok, so you were going to take my money when you could have given me what I paid for? What a terrible business practice.
