Broke my phone in the process of repairing it. Rude, unprofessional, and will invade your privacy.
I brought my phone in for a charging port repair. Stood at the desk for 10 minutes before either employee even acknowledged me - they both saw me, just couldn't be bothered to even say hello. Employee who finally helped me talked on the phone the entire time he was interacting with me and was very rude. I told him I was having problems with my phone intermittently failing to charge, but other times it worked just fine. Told him I thought there must be a loose connection somewhere. He plugged the phone in and it charged - that was the only diagnostic thing he did. He got very condescending with me and told me I just needed a new charger. Does he really think I would bring my phone in for an $80 repair without trying a different charger first? I explained again that I had tried several chargers and that the problem was intermittent, meaning that the problem comes and goes. He rolled his eyes at me and said he would replace the charging port but "I'm not refunding your money if it doesn't work." He was extremely rude and made no effort to identify the actual problem with my phone.
After picking up my "repaired" phone I discovered pictures of him in my photo gallery. There should have been no reason at all for him to turn on the camera while repairing the charging port! This is a huge violation of privacy and I will NEVER go back to this place!
Update: Just a few days after having my phone "repaired" I suddenly started having problems with the lower half of my screen flickering bright green. I've NEVER had a single problem with my screen before this. After doing some research, I discovered that this problem occurs when the display circuit is damaged and is unable to provide appropriate power to the screen. So not only did this guy act rude, fail to diagnose the problem, and take pictures of himself on my phone, but he also broke my screen and created an entirely different problem that I will now have to pay to fix.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR DEVICE TO THIS PLACE!
Update 2: No one from the company ever "reached out to discuss this further". Don't be fooled, they don't...
Read moreSo..we went in their with an unorthodox request....we were looking for a battery, we had what specs we wanted... The voltage, chemistry and size. The first two gentlemen were really not that helpful, they have the chip on their shoulder like they know more than everyone and "we aren't gonna have what you need" because we didn't have the battery. Here's what I want...I want to tell you I need a 3.5 v battery (single cell lithium ion) I need to connect two wires to it, and it has to be this size...and you say "here are all our batteries, let's see what we can find and I'll do my best to help you", but that's not what we got. The battery is for a Garmin 480 GPS from a mooney 4 seat airplane . First, the guys couldn't get past the fact that we didn't have a hobby rc plane for some reason and this was an ACTUAL AIRPLANE. They were very stand off ish about what we were asking for....until, the little person that works there (not important, only using that description because I don't know his name and I want to acknowledge him specifically) says from the background "what is it for?" And then goes right into helping us the way the first two guys should have. We are electricians and know quite a bit about batteries, voltages, electrical theory etc , I myself have been an avid RC hobbyist for over 10 years and have been building and working with electronics and all types of battery chemistry for years, probably since some of these guys were in elementary school. Point is, we knew what we were talking about and what we wanted and they were just very unhelpful. I'm giving 2 starts because we ultimately did get to a solution because of the one guy that worked there that could see outside the box. Thank you man!! I wish I...
Read moreThe only reason i gave it 1 star is because you can't leave 0 stars. I stopped in to get a price on a new key fob. My key fob has 7 functions on it. When I walked in 5 of the 7 worked. The lock doesn't work, which isn't really that big of a deal. The other function that didn't work was the remote starter, which kinda sucks in the winter. The worker took the key fob and walked over some testing board for key fobs. I was trying to tell him what was wrong with it and that it didn't need a new battery. I just replaced the battery a week ago. I was looking at the board with new key fobs on it and he decided to take it apart. He replaced the battery and then started messing with the contacts on the inside. He started taking out the old contacts and replacing them with these little pieces of tin he cutting up with scissors. Then he puts it back together and nothing on it works except the panic button. So he spent the next 20 minutes screwing with it and still couldn't get it to work again. Now I'm really pissed because now in order to unlock the door I have to take the little key out of the end of the key fob and open it with that, every time it's opened with that key the alarm goes off. So I walked in with a key fob that had 5 out of the 7 working and walked out with the most important ones that worked before not working, and I have to deal with this little key to unlock it that sets the alarm off every time I use it. I am not happy and would never go there again. If you want someone who is incompetent to mess with your key fob then be my guest. I walked out very pissed off. I hope his...
