Luigi's Pizza Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Manchester

This is a towny pub, great for locals dive bar great Irish feel. Well used to be. My husband and I have been coming for date nights here for years. Unfortunately, tonight was a karaoke night catered more so towards the (opposite) crowd. We sat at the same table we always do to order our pizza and beer per usual. We were ignored for 40 minutes. Waitresses would stop make eye contact and continue to walk by. Finally, my husband walked to the bar to ask for a drink and a large cheese pizza IN HOUSE. We were then abruptly greeted by a waitress who was yelling, extremely rude, and continued to ignore we wanted to eat in house. she scolded my husband for going to the bar to order and continued to say “you want this to go otherwise, it needs to be done through us” (waitress). A lot of other fine choice of words were spoken by this waitress toward my husband to which I had to step in and ask for our order to go. This was escalated so much, we decided to just leave. Maybe in the future, don’t let a couple sit in plain sight for 45 minutes without even giving them a menu or saying hello. This isn’t even close to half of the rude communications with this waitress. Absolutely appalled, and it’s a shame because the food is HALF decent for a late night out. Going from a weekly customer, to never again. I can say for the first time in my life I’ve never experienced racism, but apparently to appease tonight’s crowd for karaoke, loyal customers...

So I lived on the east side of Manchester almost my entire life. I moved to my new place 3 years ago & still remain a loyal customer even being way closer to many other places. Being such a loyal customer for 20+ years plus my family as well, I at the very least, expect respect and/or kindness from them. Nearly every time I've ordered, whether it's in person or over the phone, I am instantly greeted with attitude & rudeness; I've noticed it a lot the last couple years. Today however, was just the last straw. & It's the owners of the restaurant treating people this way!! The bartenders & wait staff are incredibly nice and respectful! If it weren't for how much my boys love the pizza, I'd never go back again. But I can tell you that every person I speak to from here forward will hear about it & will be highly recommended to go elsewhere. If I were able, i would have given 0 star review because that's the service I received when I picked up my food; after the woman was screaming at me & extremely rude while ordering over the phone! All because I told her how I wanted my steak cooked!! If you don't want to have to make custom orders & abide by the customer, DON'T WORK IN A RESTAURANT OR...

If I could give negative stars I would! Never had such rude service. 2 females working a bar with 4 other tables, 2 of which were already served when the 4 of us came in. We got our drinks right away but then one of our party (not me) had to call the server back over after waiting to place our order. To be fair we did tell her we were not ready when she brought our drinks but then seemed to be ignored. Watched others who ordered after us receive their food. They came over twice to tell us it was almost ready. When the food finally came, three out of the four orders were brought. As any customer would do, I was looking to see if my dinner was coming. The server comes over and asks if everything is ok so I say no my dinner has not been delivered. She immediately yells that I'm way to upset, (pretty funny since I hadn't said another word) and goes off that we haven't waited that long and we are not the only table here. WOW! I am literally speechless. How rude to treat any customer like that!! They just lost 4 customers as none of us will be back on top of the fact that the only tip she was now going to get was a suggestion to find another...
