Pizza by Rocco Manchester — Restaurant in Manchester

Hello world - I ordered 2 pizza’s, one round double pepperoni and one pan style/square pepperoni. I have had pizza at this location in 2022 and thought the pizza was very good. Today the pizza I ordered was awful! The staff was friendly enough, and showed me the pizza when it was ready. Definitely no bad people at Pizza by Rocco’s, just bad pepperoni pizza. I did point out that the pizza was extraordinarily greasy after I saw the pizza, and that they may want to try partially cooking and patting down the pepperoni first, instead of cooking it directly on the pizza. I’ve heard from other folks that this method can reduce the amount of oil from the pepperoni. Had I not already paid beforehand, hmmm… By the time I arrived home about 15 minutes later, the grease from the pizza had made its way all the way through to completely soak through the pizza and soaked the box with oil. It took a good amount of paper towels to mop up all the excess oil from the pizza. Both pizza’s were pretty much ruined at this point. I would not recommend Pizza by Rocco’s for the round or square pepperoni pizza at all! Maybe other pizza on the menu are better, but I would definitely stay away from the pepperoni pizza’s. Again, I thought the pizza at Pizza by Rocco’s was pretty great in 2022 but not so much 3 years later. One last piece of advice for the management, please invest in updating the menu to reflect the current pricing, a piece of paper to the side of the menu saying the prices have increased by 1 to 2 dollars per item is not the best idea. I was so excited to try this place but I am so so disappointed. I asked for extra bleu cheese with the wings because the smallest order is for 10. You can see what they sent me in the photo. The wings claimed to be cooked crispy but they weren't at all. The buffalo sauce they make you pay $2.00 extra for was almost non existent. I could have at least understood them not being crispy if they were sauced well, but they weren't. The pizza LOOKS good but somehow is completely tasteless. Totally disappointing. I feel like I wasted my money.

UPDATE: I didn’t even post this review an hour ago and the owner Jesse called me himself via DoorDash customer support. He apologized and offered me a full refund. I appreciate that not only did he take the time to reach out (because many would not) but he did so QUICKLY. I agreed to try Rocco’s again and I’ll either update or remove this review after my second attempt. Here’s to hoping this was just a one-off situation. To be continued.

UPDATE: This owner is unhinged. I agreed to update the review once I had a chance to try them again. I had oral surgery and haven’t been able to eat solid foods so I haven’t had a chance to try them again. About a week after this incident the manager called back with DoorDash and told me they were removing my honest review because they had refunded me. Interesting. Now he leaves a passive aggressive comment on my review. I had planned to try them again once I was able and then update the review as promised but based on this behavior, I think I’m all set. Stay away if you don’t want a side of hassle...

Edit: Updating from 1 star to 5. After posting my review, I received a call from the owner asking how he could make it right. I told him I didn't post to get anything and he said he still wanted to do something. He had me come by today and ask for his brother. They gave me a partial refund and had a new, fresh pizza there for me as well. This one was much better than the last. We will try them again as last night must have been an off night. Their customer service is above and beyond.

We ordered almost $100 worth of food (which included a delivery fee and a 20% tip for the driver) and it was terrible. We ordered the 14" Rocco's Special, 14" Florentina, 10 PC honey mustard wings, jalapeño poppers, and a Nutella pizza and added strawberries for an extra charge. I placed the order at 3:11pm and the delivery time on the receipt said 4:01pm. At 4:21pm I called to check on the delivery. I was told it would be another 5-10 mins. 20 mins later the food arrived. The Nutella pizza didn't have the strawberries and the rest of the food was cold and bland. Pizza was chewy and tough. Definitely not worth the...
