The Hummus Factory — Restaurant in Manhattan Beach

I came in for lunch on 4/11/2023. The place looks a little depressing with dirty walls and minimal decor. When I walked in there was no one at the counter to greet me. There was someone prepping food but they didn’t acknowledge me, not even when they had to walk past me at the counter to go out and deliver the food. When she came back she manned the register and took my order. I think it’s a one man show. Good thing there were only 2 other people dining at the time. I ordered the chicken kabob plate that came with rice, salad, hummus, and a really good garlic sauce. It also came with a side of sad, dry pita that definitely came out of a bargain bag. The total was $22 Generous portion of just ok, flavorless chicken served with a big pile of brown rice. The chicken tasted like very plain chicken and was over cooked. Hummus was good but the garlic sauce was the best thing on the plate. Walked through the service hall to get to the bathroom after and everything was so grungy and gross Definitely not...

I visited The Hummus Factory in Manhattan Beach yesterday, craving some Lebanese food, and wow, I was blown away! The hummus is top-notch—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the gyro, and everything was just amazing. The pita was warm and soft, the salad fresh and crisp, and the lamb was perfectly marinated—it literally melted in my mouth.

My wife went for the Greek salad, and she couldn’t stop talking about how refreshing and light it was. If you're in the area and in the mood for some delicious Mediterranean food, this spot is a must-visit! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in...

Very dissappointed. I ordered 2 different plates that included rice. I was asked if I wanted Brown rice but I was never told that there was an additional charge. I paid by credit card and when I noticed the additional charge I asked the cashier and she then told me that there is an extra charge for Brown rice. I said that you should let your customers know before charging them and she just said sorry but didn't offer to credit me back...
