This was our 1st time trying this newer restaurant. Due to food allergies, we're very cautious and don't eat out very often.

The owners are wonderful! They took time to explain ingredients in different dishes and never seemed put out by our questions. They assisted us with our food allergy concerns and made sure that we didn't have anything containing or cross contaminated with gluten. Neither of us had even the slightest reaction or physical discomfort, so we know they were careful.

They make their own chori! It doesn't have any unnecessary fillers and tasted great! I'd highly recommend trying it!

We couldn't decide on drinks, so we went with the "margarita flight." We were not disappointed and look forward to ordering our favorite choices at our next visit.

It's nice to know we can help support a small business and finally look forward to having date nights again that are not followed by pain and sickness. I REALLY wish I'd remembered to take pics...

I had an amazing experience at Mi Tierra Restaurant & Cantina. I wish I could give them more than five stars! From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly. They greeted us warmly and even complimented my husband's hair. We were served quickly, and the food was outstanding! My husband ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas, while I opted for the Choripollo, and we both enjoyed our meals. The homemade tortillas were particularly delicious. The restaurant also offers vegetarian options on their menu. We had a chance to chat with the host, who turned out to be one of the owners, along with his mother-in-law. He was extremely kind and friendly, and it was clear that he puts his heart and soul into running the business. The decor was charming and added to the overall experience. We have decided that this restaurant will be our go-to spot for Mexican food from now on. I highly recommend...

This place has the best Mexican food in Kansas! The beans are creamy, the chips are warm, the salsa options range from mild to spicy, all homemade, and their hand-finely chopped Pico de Gallo is absolutely fresh and flavorful.

The Pollo Cancun offers a variety of flavors, from the juiciness of the chicken to the spices on the outside. Every bite has its own unique note of flavor.

(Edit: the following paragraph is no longer true. Their house made drink list is varried and delicious!!!) The only downside is that the margaritas are premixed, but considering they have only been open for two months, they are focusing on the food, which is incredible!

It's a true family-owned restaurant as well.

This is the #1 Mexican Restaurant in Manhattan.

Update: I tried several different dishes by them today! Their Carne Asada is flavorful and JUICIE!! Wow!!!

Eat here!!! You...

I've had the pleasure of experiencing Mi Tierra, and I am truly impressed. The rich and vibrant Mexican culture shines through in every aspect of their offerings. The artistry and craftsmanship are world-class, whether it's in the delicious food, beautiful decor, or exceptional service. The warmth and friendliness of the staff make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. They embody the admirable Mexican spirit of resilience and community. Visiting Mi Tierra feels like a celebration of Mexico's beautiful traditions and inspiring heritage. I highly recommend Mi Tierra for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic and heartfelt Mexican experience. This place is a true gem, showcasing the best of what Mexico has to offer. İ especially liked the margarita flights.

First experience was ok, but it doesn't really measure up to others. They do have one of the better tasting salsa recipes. The dish I had (El Chavo) was grilled chicken with spinach, mushrooms and cheese. ( I have to say that I didn't see the mushrooms in the dish, maybe an oversight) The subtle white Chihuahua cheese was the only flavor. The chicken wasn't seasoned at all, it was very bland. I used some salsa which helped. Service was ok. The decor was a little plain but it was comfortable. I'll give them another try. Every cook can have an off night, or miss something in a dish. I was not super hungry and just ordered the special. Next time I'm going to be hungry and give the fajitas a try. I'll update this review then.
