I had to try it once. First appearance looked promising. The place was packed with people and there was a lot going on. I love the fact the everything is made fresh. It is really neat to see the stacks of potatoes and peanuts all over the resturaunt. I like the fact that everything is out in the open and people can se everything that goes on with their food. It is personal and it involves the customer. I did have a little sticker shock at the order counter. Two burgers, fries and drinks was almost $24.00. Due to the cost I was expecting a premier meal. The meal was average. The burgers and bacon, while fresh, had little to no flavor. The cheese was very good and had a lot of flavor as well as the jalapenoes and onions. Being it was our first time there we ordered both the regular and cajun fries. The regular fries are very good if you salt them right away. The cajun fries were good in small doses. It was actually too much seasoning and eventually everything tasted like black pepper. The customer service is first rate. Employees are friendly and courteous. The resturaunt is clean and tidy. Bathrooms are clean and the decore raves about the food being the best. Overall, my meal was adequate but the value for the price is just not worth it. For the price, go to Famous Daves or...
Read moreI'll start with what I believe are the pros of Five Guys based on 2 visits at different locations. Number one would be the fries. I might go back for nothing other than these because I don't know of any better and I love finding a full container piled high then another serving laying in the bottom of the bag. They are even better than the MN state fair fries. The burgers are very good, maybe the best I've had. The other menu items I've not tried and based on the the rest of my review, I never will. Besides, nothing else one the menu really appeals to me. The cons would be first and foremost, the cost. Sure the food is really good but it's basically burgers and fries. The place is loud. Employees yelling out order numbers and customers having to talk loud to eachother to overcome loud music. The place is hot. Last visit was evening and Sun blazing through unshaded windows and felt like no a/c was on. I planned on dining in but couldn't wait to get the Heck out. The overall ambiance with all this and those colors! Red, white and black feels to me like a carnival food stand. Also two of the five total burgers I've ordered were missing toppings I was charged for, Not the free toppings. I'd rather pay a third the price and get a big burger from a guy wearing the crown of a king, and a quiet cool dining...
Read moreAs always the food is freaking awesome... However as they've always been rather expensive for a burger joint, this time I was actually almost appalled at the price!! It was over $35 for two regular burgers, 1 reg. fry and two small drinks - to go, oh and a somewhat minor thing but it's a thing that's always been kind of fun is when you order a fry they put the fry in the bag and they add like little extra fries can have a scoop or something now this time this time my regular fry cup was barely full which made us not very happy when we got to the car. So even though it's always awesome... FOR THOSE PRICES AND I KNOW EVERYTHING IS MORE EXPENSIVE NOWADAYS BUT FOR CREPE SAKE PUT AN EXTRA SCOOP OF FRIES ON TOP OF EVERYTHING IN THE BAG LIKE YOU NORMALLY DO! It costs so much money to go out to eat nowadays a person doesn't do it very often and when we do go out Even though we know we probably shouldn't spend the money, we expect it to be just as good as it's always been and even hopefully a little better considering the prices. *Like I said, I KNOW...tossing in some extra fries in your bag or not is clearly a minor issue in the scope of life, it's the symbolism NOT the fries. The #FIVEGUYS 🍒 on top that says: "We appreciate your business so Have Some Extra 🍟 and an...
