Sharing a Testimony i witnessed and my own experiences with the Grooming Salon here. I have a Shiba-Inu puppy. Bout 6 months old. The first time we took him in for a nail trim it went swimmingly, no problems besides the nails still being a little long after the cut, but every event after the first visit have been very different. Second time I took him in for another nail trim, he was taken in by one of their Groomers, Victoria. I had mentioned that he was dramatic and screams when happy or upset. Victoria did not seem thrilled to take him, but took him in for the nail trim and grind. The trim was done, the grind was not due to our puppy being "difficult" which i was concerned about because the first trim went very well. My third visit is the main reason why I am writing this review. I had scheduled a bath and deshedding today and brought him in, when i entered a couple of the groomers were talking disrespectfully about a customer and saying that they were going to charge them extra. The same groomer Victoria checked me in and took my pup in, again looked none too thrilled to take him in. While I waited outside, another Customer had come to pick his dog up and dispute extra fees and charges he was given and questioning why they didnt try to contact him if the dog was having issues. The Customer Service I witnessed by whom I assume was the manager was extremely disrespectful claiming the dog was again "difficult" and thus charging him 40$ more because the dog had to be held(and some other stuff but they didn't go into it), what was essentially a pissing contest ended in the customer walking away extremely dissatisfied and upset. I was then notified by Victoria that my appointment will take about 2 hours for a bath and deshed to finish, which is extremely unreasonable. I discussed the events with my wife and worried that I too would be charged for unnecessary fees. I told Victoria that I was having second thoughts and would like my puppy back. She then explained that he was being "difficult" once again and that he had been bathed but that he didn't like the air drier, so she put him into a kennel with an air drier on him. She then decided she would only charge me for a quick wash and dry (30$) which in my opinion she didnt do half the work anyway and she expressed that SHE DIDNT WANT TO GROOM HIM ANYWAY. How disrespectful and lazy. The work ethic is missing in these groomers and by the other reviews I read Victoria isn't the only one. Please consider another line of work if you aren't willing to accommodate and adapt to slight inconveniences while grooming an animal with...
Read moreI scheduled a grooming appointment online for $52. I drop my dog off and give grooming instructions. When I picked her up she looked great, needed to trim her mohawk just a bit and everything looked good. Upon getting her in the truck I realized she has a spot on each front leg that is shaved almost to the skin. They didn’t even blow the hair off her. She jumped in the truck and hair went flying all over! I have a cocker spaniel and requested a puppy cut. I questioned the price but paid it anyway. Then went back to the salon for further explanation on why it was higher than the price online. Evidently they UPcharge on holiday weekends, which I did not know. I have brought my dog in a few times for grooming and it has always turned out great and the price was what was stated online. I haven't decided if I will return or not, but if I do I will request a specific groomer and verify the price before I bring her in. I don't appreciate being charged more than was quoted.
Follow up: Today at lunch I went to speak with the Grooming Salon manager Kayla. I tried to explain my concerns and all she would say is bring her back and we will fix it or we will give you your money back and we will refer you to someplace else! I simply wanted to know how they would fix the mess they did to my dogs front legs, Kayla would then say "I told you five times how I will fix it" NO she didn't. She just kept telling me to bring her back and they would get her in. I finally gave up and said Fine I think it best to just go someplace else. Just beware! If Kayla treats customers like that, I wonder how she...
Read moreI made an appointment to get my puppy into the grooming salon. My dog was already nervous beforehand as this was her first haircut. I dropped her off at noon. A while later I got a call that she wouldn't stay still and was trying to bite them. They told me that it took three people to hold her down. Keep in mind that it was a small shitzu/maltese dog. I would expect that with them being a grooming salon they would know how to handle different breeds. When I went to pick her up I was surprised when I saw her. She had patches of fur that weren't trimmed in her torso and had most of the fur on her head still. She also had hair around her groin area that hadn't been trimmed at all. Considering the way that they had left my puppy I wasn't expecting them to charge me anything. They charged me $54 because they said they had to charge me something for the work they had already done. I thought this was an unbeliveable price considering a full haircut and bath is $53. They didnt give me a reciept so I wasnt able to verify what the amount should have been. I do not recommend the Petsmart grooming salon to anyone and will definitely not be taking my puppy...
