Target — Local services in Mankato

WOW! I called in search of a Char-Broil gas grill for my Nephews wedding Registry and was having trouble locating one here north of St.Paul. I called to check several stores and would up locating some 'in-stock' in Mankato. When I called, though, apparently there was a stock glitch and although there were several of a nicer model, the one I was looking for was out of stock there too. Mark helped me by calling several stores and when that didn't pan out, checked and was able to give me the nicer model at the same price as the smaller one I had been looking for. I'll say it again....WOW! What service and very nice the whole time! I did have to make the long drive to Mankato but it was pleasant and two very nice guys helped load the new grill (wedding gift!) into my car for me, This started out badly and wound up as one of the best experiences I have ever had at a Target (and we have shopped at many!) and I wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff, the management and especially to Mark....folks like you make searching for elusive items a real pleasure! BTW, wanted to shake your hand but got stuck in traffic in Minneapolis on the way down!

Now, I've been to this target several times. Almost all of my experiences here have been great. If I need something quick I can normally be in and out. Or if I have a list of things to get they have them. One big plus is the friendly employees. However, today when I was checking out my cashier was friendly but one register over there was a family of 3 with their very young child. As they were checking out I see the child was excited to get a new backpack (at least that's what it looked like). As I saw this I looked away and then heard the cashier (employees name tag said Noelle) loud and clear say "let me do my job!" And snatched the backpack from the child because she was excited to have a new one. I was sort of shocked by this. A few others who had heard including the parents seemed shocked by her behavior as well. The cashier did not look even remotely happy, she looked just angry and annoyed like she didn't want to be even talked to by anyone. Just thought I'd put it out there as target does not have any place on there site to put...

They remodeled the store and it looks nice except now the aisle are way too narrow and can barely fit two carts. You start getting more than a couple people in a aisle and it turns into a sardine can. The cashier was just rude. She wouldn't price match Target's own price online that is allown per company policy and she had problem matching the price stating she can't do that. You are supposed pay the instore price. I could of ordered it online, picked it up from here for that price that you wouldn't want to price match. I even showed her proof of the online price from the Target site. She did finally change it but my wife and I left very dissatisfied in this Target. Shopped there many times, never had no issues in the past. Wondering why brick and mortar is dying it because of customer service experience like this. We can stay at home and get the right price, with being a Target card holder free shipping and don't have to deal with people who don't know there own...
