DoubleDave's Pizzaworks — Restaurant in Manor

Ordered on a Monday at 6:15 pm, after no updates of status for an hour and a half, I called nicely for an eta. 90 minutes of silence seemed very excessive, for an app enabled company. They said it had been waiting for a door dash driver to pick up, but thier app makes no mention of door dash and I'd expected a regular employee, but whatever. Now they said its been waiting the whole time and $55 of food, with an 9 dollar tip and 5 dollars delivers is sitting and getting soggy. Now, 90 mins later, who knows how long it's been ready in actuality and sitting there. At 2 hours I finally cancelled, because 0 communication, and we simply had to leave, and I didn't want them delivering to an empty house. I am thinking it's my last time and that's sad, they did refund me and I was disappointed to cancel. I was excited we had finally gotten a delivery restaurant, and regularly ordered 50-100 bucks at a time. I know things are hard, but communications are key and no update on an non busy Monday, for 90 minutes is just sad and unacceptable. There's an app, but no estimate of delivery and you have to pre-tip, I usually do so at least 20%. But I'd pre-tip more with an eta for sure, but as it is $13 in delivery and tip, for 7 miles, and no estimate or communications, and 2 hours later on the counter still. I have never experienced such amazing customer service from a business such as Double Daves. Me and my wife walked in the store 5 mins after they closed tonight hoping maybe there was a glimmer of hope that we could order a pizza (how dare we on a Sunday night). Woody greeted us and said that they just closed and rightfully so, the sign posted said till 10pm not 10:05pm. As we headed back to our car, woody ran out and said that he was willing to make us a pie and insisted on staying a few more mins just for us. We ordered a medium pizza and waited maybe less than 5 mins when woody presented us with a LARGE pizza and opened the box for us and it looked like an artisan made it. To top it off, he gave us a discount on the pie. I couldn't believe this was happening. Woody made us feel that there is still hope for humanity. Woody!! You are an amazing human being! Male employee working at the front counter assumed I was picking up for Uber. Told me to sign in. I asked him why I needed to sign in? He said picking up for Uber you have sign. I stated to him that I am not Uber. He didn't bother to ask me my name when I first approached the counter. I had to tell him my name. He then ordered me to show my order on my phone as paid. Degrading as this is, I had to show this difficult male employee my phone with my order as paid. At this time and a White Male walks to the counter to pick up his pizza order, and this same Male employee did ask this White Male customer for his name and then he handed the pizza to this White Male customer. I then asked this same male employee why he did not do the same for me. I am a Black Female customer. I have attached the Pic of the rude, unwelcome, bias Male employee.
