Bar Pizza & Salad Co. — Restaurant in Mansfield

Love this new pizza place! I moved to Foxboro 7 years ago and have tried every pizza in this town and surrounding areas but never was able to find one that stood out. That's finally changed with the arrival of Bar Pizza & Salad Co. This is a unique pizza vs what else is offered around here and is a great bar style pizza. They opened a couple weeks ago and we've already ordered from there 5 times. From the pizzas we've tried Buffalo Chicken (all 5 times), Pepperoni, Cheese, Meat Lovers, and a custom tomato pie with sausage and ricotta.

The Buffalo Chicken is the standout for my wife and I. We love buffalo chicken and theirs is incredible. No red sauce, has a cream sauce instead. Fresh shredded chicken. Ranch AND blue cheese. And hot sauce. Can't go wrong with this one!

The Pepperoni is your classic pepperoni bar style pizza. Very good.

My kids devour the cheese pizzas and they can be tough critics.

The meat lovers was fantastic. The meat was crispy and the variety on the pie was impressive (even has linguica)

The tomato pie w/ sausage and ricotta was also delicious, although next time I think we will have mozzarella on it as well.

The pizzas automatically come well done (crispy) by default. We ordered "well done" once initially and it was more well done than we'd like so we just get it regular and it comes out nice and crispy just the way we like it.

The pizzas are where this place excels but the salads are also worth ordering. We've ordered the Spinach salad almost every time. Makes us feel better about ourselves while devouring all that pizza....

The owners are very friendly. I sent them some friendly feedback on their Facebook page and they responded very quickly.

My wife posted a week or so ago about how good this place was and I agreed. We gave it a another try with our kids this past Saturday and it was the complete opposite. My wife has a severe gluten and shellfish allergy. She's always nervous ordering pizza from places and it's understandable. She told the woman taking our order about her allergies and asked about the gluten-free pizza. The woman didn't really know anything about it and went behind to ask. She came back out and didn't even give us the right name, said it was Goodie, not Udi. Told my wife she could look up the ingredients online. Tough when you give wrong name. Went behind again and got the correct spelling. No manager or owner came out to go over her allergy and make her feel secure with ordering. She ordered just a gluten-free cheese. We ordered two other non gluten-free pizzas. Waited about 15-20 minutes, no problem. They call us when order is ready and two pizzas are on one tray. They had my wife's pizza with a Buffalo chicken pizza touching! She has a severe gluten allergy and they contaminated her pizza by having it touch the other pizza! I've never seen this before. The staff was like that's the gluten-free pizza and not even knowing it should be by itself. They redid it over again, but we took it to go and my wife ended up throwing it all away when we got home. How could she trust the place when they didn't seem to take her allergy seriously and not one manager or adult came out to apologize or anything. Spent $84 for this experience and won't be back. Very disappointing. If you have an allergy be very careful going here. They need to be trained and obviously haven't or don't...

First time going, so we thought we would try a variety of their offerings. Salads were ample and had wonderfully fresh elements. Great flavors combined to make them enjoyable to eat. Loved the Greek dressing with the Greek Salad, it helped to offset the salty elements (kalmata olives and feta) of the salad making it absolutely delicious. The fresh basil and spinach in the capresse salad with the fresh mozzarella were perfect with the reduced balsamic drizzle. We were not fans of the dressing with that salad and felt it actually deterred from the enjoyment of it. So as for the salads solid 5 on recommending!

Next the pizzas, we chose to try three of the pizzas available. The veggie, Buffalo chicken and meat lovers. The first picture is trying to show the sogginess of the middle of the pizzas. The meat lovers was well done on top, not so much on the bottom, taking away from the enjoyment. This was our least favorite. It had plenty of toppings and the sauce used was yummy.

The Buffalo chicken had great flavor with a slight kick at the end. Not so bad that if you have a slight problem with spices, you would still enjoy it. Nice chunks of chicken full of flavor. Tasty option!

The Veggie pizza was by far our favorite. Good variety of veggies that blended well together. The sauce used on this one was slightly sweet and absolutely delicious.

Overall, we rated it a 4 because of the well done topping for the meatlovers and sogginess of the centers. This improved with reheating and eating slices the next day. Recommend giving it a try, you may have a different experience-- definitely try their salads-Highly...
