No longer go to this Chipotle for my Mexican fix. Especially with Qudoba right across the street. In short, this location makes too many mistakes, is far too slow, and isn't consistent on a visit to visit basis. Went here for a year and enough is enough. See below for more details.
The most frustrating thing about this location is that it always seems to have numerous call-in orders which appear to take priority over the in store, in line customers.
The amount of times they have burnt our quesadillas is greater than the times they get it right. They seem to forget that they have placed a quesadilla on the hotplates (especially when serving call-in customers), and have to either be told to "please check on my quesadilla?"
Consistency is not present here. I recognize that it is impossible to have the same portions each time, but they can't come close. One time you'll have a massive scoop of meat for a burrito, the next, a tiny couple pieces and an excessive amount of salsa or rice. Unless specified otherwise, i don't see how its hard to keep fairly reasonable portions.
They run out of ingredients on the service line a lot. Sometimes its meats, others is cheese. Seems to be a continuing issue. Also they regularly don't have some meats due to issues with their producers.
Staff is generally fairly nice. It's a mixed bag. Not the best, but not the worst. I give them a star for that.
The place is usually fairly clean. It gets a bit messy during peak hours but that's to be expected. I give them a star for that also.
Overall, if you visit this place once, i'm sure it'll be fine for your visit. Visit it on a more regular basis and you'll start to see its problems, and dislike going. Too many to justify...
Read moreService: nothing like staff looking at me like I have two heads when placing a simple order of a burrito bowl. Also, the cleanliness comes into question when counters are being moved, chemicals in use, sweeping etc... saturating the air with particles and debris - essentially landing on food being cooked or prepped. The ice machine is often empty, I won't even get into my observation of food storage.
Atmosphere: Walking into the place where groups of youths are hanging outside, one of which wearing a Chipotle shirt (possible staff) making fun of patrons walking in and out of the place, so there's a comfortable atmosphere...
Food: I touched up on food briefly above. It is tasty, but my concern is food storage and security practices. The placement of the food on display (white rice, and brown rice) are directly below a ceiling vent where I observed a slow water drip from the vent onto the rice! God forbid should you try to advise a supervisor of the concern in 2023. Ever heard of listeria?
With respect to the above, you'll spend money, good money comparable to the non fast food bigger establishments in the surrounding area where the food is healthier and fresh! My last visit was just that; my last visit there. It's your health, your money. If you do take the chance, look up at the vent above the rice. Make sure it's...
Read moreI haven't been to Chipotle in at least 5 years, thought I'd try it out. I was craving a rice bowl. The food was 5.5/10. Could use a gracious amount of seasoning, because it was quiet bland. Lacked flavor. Menu lacks choices, as you can get only burrito, bowl, tacos and salad for a meal. I got the bowl with chicken and steak, white rice which was clumped up (my guess, it was overcooked), my rice and meats were lukewarm, it had zero amount of steam. Then after I mixed everything together, my meal immediately became cold as if I added ice to it. The atmosphere has not changed since my last visit over 5yrs ago. It's dark, gloomy, hard uncomfortable chairs, same metal tables from a decade ago. I sat next to a window while the sun was out, but it still felt dark on a beautiful day. It made me want to leave ASAP, making me feel like I was in the funeral home. I felt like I would be more comfortable eating my meal in the car than dining in. Does not feel inviting whatsever.
Service was quick as there was no line in front of me.
I'd day it's great to those who are already addicted to it, great for those who enjoy bland food, great for those who have no taste buds, and great for those who want to feel like they visiting a jail or a funeral home.
I doubt any other Chipotle is any different as they haven't changed in...
