Waited 40 minutes over the expected pickup time for just 2 bowls. There were roughly 25 other people waiting in the mobile order line with me. Clearly the online ordering system doesn't really estimate pickup times based on order volume. Ended up asking everyone else how long they were working just to get an idea of how far behind they were. A lot of us checked in with the one person doing pickup orders, and it was clear no one was helping her. The regular order line was also massive. Obviously a bit understaffed, but I saw at least 6 different workers but just terrible sense of urgency with the employees too. Slowest moving workers ever. Luckily the food was ok, but really not worth the service experience. As others got their pickup orders, I hear no apologies from staff at all to anyone for the long wait. Even McDonalds gives out gift cards for long waits. I would have just left feedback on the website direct, but they don't even have a "how was your experience" link on your order receipt or through the text notifications. Come on people, this is 2024, everyone has feedback links. Don't go here if you're expecting a "fast casual" experience. At least avoid Friday...
Read moreI am never one to leave a bad review, in fact I like to try to always do the opposite. I ordered 2 bowls, the exact same ingredients online so I could go in quick and pick them up to bring home. App said 5:15pm pick up, my text said 5:16pm pick up, so I planned to be there 5 minutes in advance just to check in and grab it asap. Waited 45 minutes, tried checking with two different staff members. One kept telling me “Just 5 more minutes” then it was “4 more minutes” 20 minutes later! While the other worker was actually kind and did try to help. What is the point of having an online order pick up system if it is never accurate? What is the point of quoting customers fake times like 5 minutes here, 4 minutes there, when you cannot follow through? While waiting in the store, I watched 2 cycles of long lines go through the in person ordering line. Just to basically have my food thrown at me at 5:47pm. While walking to my car I had received the second text pictured which is insane to me. I have loved CAVA since this location is opened but if you do decide to try to go, please just order in person! Three times I’ve gone here the person taking my order did not speak English and I was ordering something right off the menu and they did not understand. I told them the chicken and rightrice bowl and I just got a blank stare. I tried pointing, showing the menu and still nothing. I had to point to each ingredient for them to put it in the bowl so I basically served myself. Another time I ordered ahead and the people coming in ordered and received their food faster than me while I waited an additional 30 minutes at cava in addition to ordering ahead. More than once I’ve gone in there and the staff were arguing, hanging around, giving an attitude, not understanding my order (I only order off their menu)etc. I’m not someone who writes bad reviews but I think my overall experience has lead me to write this.
