Initially my family and I were very happy- so much so that we frequented the shop once a week but things quickly changed. The last 2 visits have been terrible- with me complaining on former and not retuning because of the latter. The bread both times was super stale (or overcooked) and the last time, caked with corn meal which made for a gritty, unappealing bite. Both times the bread on the subs came to us already torn, cracked and splintered. The bread continued to crumble and splinter as we tried to eat the subs. The meat both times (we ordered the giant kahuna with extra meat, a regular kahuna, and regular chicken philly) was dry (a little better the second time) and with barely any peppers or onions present. The cheese, which the kahunas are supposed to come with extra of, was pretty much none existent and the cheese that was present adhered mostly to the paper the sandwiches were wrapped in. In our initial visits, the cheese had been melted onto the meat making for a nice creamy bite which we had enjoyed. I told the owner, Lindsay, whom I had spoken with after the initial poor visit and subsequent unprofessional conversation with Troy, the store manager, that I would give her shop another try. However, based on this 2nd terrible visit, I cannot justify paying $40 for 3 inedible subs and will not frequent this shop again. I contacted the owner, Lindsay, to let her know I had tried the Mansfield location again, as she had requested. I explained that I had another unacceptable experience and would not be back. I just received her response which states that she “agree[s] with [me] that it's probably not the right fit and additional visits may frustrate [me] further.” She is right.... I believe that an establishment should value it’s customers and deliver a quality product each and every time. They obviously do not. Instead of trolling reviews and seeing what customers have to say after their visit, it may behoove the owners to put that energy into training their staff and conducting quality control tests.... then maybe they wouldn’t have to worry about conducting...
Read moreI recently visited the Jersey Mike's Subs on School St. in Mansfield, MA. The manager, Mitch Cleary, was the only person working during a busy lunchtime because his staff had quit earlier that day. He was doing his best to keep up with the orders coming in online and was very polite to the patrons who were patiently waiting for their sandwiches. When patrons came in to order on site, he calmly and politely told them it would be about 45 minutes before he could get their orders to them. He was working constantly and methodically to serve his customers in an impossible situation. I commend him for being so unflappable.
Not realizing he was the manager, I provided feedback on the app while I waited. Mitch responded to my concerns the very next day and offered to comp my sub and to give me some coupons for a future visit. He apologized for a situation that was out of his control.
A few days later, my son who is visiting from Georgia, went in to pick up some subs he ordered on the app. Mitch was working again and my son explained that he was visiting to celebrate his grandmother's 100th birthday, that very day. Mitch graciously comped my son's order with a sincere Happy Birthday wish for his grandmother. Mitch is obviously a service-oriented, customer-friendly manager. I can only hope that his superiors recognize this gentlemen as the valuable employee that he is.
Oh, and he makes a...
Read moreThey started to cancel my orders from door dash because they don’t like to hear the truth. If my sandwich is soggy and it’s make wrong got missing ingredients wth do you think is gone happen im suppose to give you my money and be okay with that I don’t think so. Employees are rude af and do things like they just don’t care, you should treat peoples food the way you’d like your food to be handled. Which I’m sure is done right because it isn’t free, when you pay for my meal then you can do it as you darn well please. I’d like to see them refuse to serve me in person but it’s rude when I’m paying for my meal I’m not stealing it and you decline my order just because you feel like it. You should be fired for making the company lose money. Hopefully higher power does contact me so I can inform them on how you are purposely making them lose money because you simply won’t just do your...
