I arrive at Chili’s Maplewood at 12:25 to pickup a DoorDash order. The order was supposed to be ready by 12:21. After entering and waiting by the to go station for 4-5 minutes without being acknowledged, I poked my head around the corner and asked about the order. At that time, the girl who I was speaking with looked at the DD tablet and realized the order had not been given to the kitchen yet. It is now 12:31. I am told it will be 5-10 minutes while the prepare the food. I take a seat on the bench and start to inform the customer of the issue. The customer asked for 2 pieces of cheesecake for the inconvenience and wait time. Their entire lunch break was ruined because of Chili’s failure to process the order correctly. At 12:58 I am still there and the food is in boxes on the counter. It has been for at least 4-5 minutes at this point. They decide now they want to argue about the cheesecake. At this point I said “just forget it and put the food in a damn bag so I can take care of your irate customer” the girl then walks away and says “Rachel’s working on that” (what a great sense of urgency chili’s 👍🏻) and then she said something to me about swearing. (Damn). Well another 3-4 minutes goes by with no results and the “manager@ comes out from the kitchen and starts blaming doordash for haveing cancelled orders lately and that’s why they failed. I told her that’s neither here nor there, not my fault, and has nothing to do with this non cancelled order. She then tells me I’m too aggressive and makes me leave without the food, making their customer now wait over 1hr and 15 min since they ordered. SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME HER NAME (The manager)
I wonder why orders keep getting...
Read moreI had a party of THIRTY for my son and my dad’s birthday dinner, The restaurant we were planning on going to closed down permanently so we were looking for a place to go last minute. I called in the am and made reservations which was super easy and Mackenzie was super sweet and made me feel like she was excited to have us! When we arrived 20 minutes before or reservation we were immediately greeted and seated in our section they had blocked off for us 3 booths fitting 4 at each and three tables fitting 6 at each. Side by side so we could all communicate across the room! Mackenzie immediately introduced herself to us and started taking drink orders, giving us all our “check numbers” at the very start so splitting checks later wasn’t an issue! She was very sweet and funny and dealt with our big personalities and large family very well, she was even interacting with the stir crazy and tired children (we had just come from snow tubing and were all tired and hungry! Drinks came out right away, and food was ordered immediately after she was very knowledgeable about her menu and made ordering a breeze! Our food came pretty quick and was delicious and Every order came out exactly as we ordered it. She was so on top of her stuff. We didn’t really have to ask for much besides extra napkins. And she was training while serving all 30 of us. Mackenzie made our night and provided the best service, She made our experience, easy and fun. The guys had a great birthday, so thank you so much Mackenzie and Chili’s! We will be coming back...
Read moreFood was ready for pick up earlier than estimated and they brought the bag of food over from a shelf behind the counter that clearly wasn't temperature controlled in any way to keep the food warm. Then I had to wait in a very narrow walkway while waiting for a staff member to take my payment while lots of other staff passed through with MUCH less than 6 foot distance since the entire walkway was maybe 4 feet wide. Their tabletop payment machines weren't working but they wouldn't ring me up on their main check out terminal for four attempts at payment which took about ten minutes including time to wait for different machines to reboot. The manager was aware of the difficulties but refused to let the staff take payment at the main terminal regardless. Meanwhile the food for my wife and me was getting cooler in the plastic bag on the counter. The staff taking payment finally got the managers card for something else and used it so I could pay on the main terminal. It was quite a long process that seemed at odds with their curbside pick up and not having enough space to follow social distancing protocols (I don't know why we couldn't use a gift card in the drive through pick up...) and no way to keep my food warm while they experienced technical difficulties and the manager wouldn't put my experience first, continuing to insist that we use the devices that were crashing... Not a great experience but the food was good when we finally got to eat it. Not sure if...
