Barro's Pizza — Restaurant in Marana

Very disappointed with our experience on 5/11/2024. I’ve been to this location plenty of times, we often come here with large groups, last week was 19 of us. This time was 7 and the first time bringing my dad. We had ordered 2 x-large pizza, 12 piece of mozzarella sticks, salad, and our 24 traditional wings extra crispy. The pizza came out first, when I ask for the other items she said it was because I asked for extra crispy and everything comes out together and hurried off. Waiting still we see everyone getting their wings and when went to order another beer we asked again, this time was because there’s only one cook. We decided to ask for a refund for the items we haven’t received yet, because our pizza was getting cold, but come to find out when I asked for a manager he’s excuse was the printer broke, and our items were coming out. We got no sympathy , no sorry, he refused to refund. I told him we no longer want it but he told us he’d happily box everything for us with a rude tone, he kept repeating that it was a printer issue. He wouldn’t accommodate us at all, no discount or even nothing towards our next visit. Mind you I’ve been here on another occasion were they’ve mistaken us for another customer and was willing to refund their order for an issue they had. But my complaint wasn’t valid. Forgot to mention it was over 30 mins before we asked for the manager, our salad, mozzarella sticks and wings all came out our...

The decor of the restaurant is superb. It's very lovely and new york style (pics, tv's, brick style). The prices were okay. Spent almost $50 on four people, I spend that much at sit down restaurants.

Dislikes: Drinks not mentioned on the menu board. (It's Pepsi...) I orded bread sticks. I thought they would be sticks. It wasn't. They are in pan form. My first bite, it was horrible it tasted burnt and had no taste. Also the bread sticks came out at the same time the pizza did. I find that weird. Weirdly enough the manger came over right after I took a bite. I didn't even call him over. Tbh I really like how the manger made rounds to check on the customers. The manger offered to give me cheese bread sticks instead. After a while the Cheese bread sticks came out, again It's pan style not sticks. Already full, my bf tried it, he like I said about the other was that it was tasteless. I suggested he try it with the marinara sauce, he even said the sauce was tasteless. My Bf is not a picky eater so I knew this is weird. I told the manger and he gave me my money back for the bread sticks. I told him, they should change the menu to say Pan Bread not Bread Sticks since they are two different styles.

Would I go again, probably not. The pizza was good, I like the thin crust. The thin crust though is not actually thin, since their original crust is thick.

Me and my friend were shopping at the outlets mall at the street and we were hungry and decided to try this place. The both of us had never been here so we didn't know what to expect but we were craving pizza stuff. We walked in and the place is pretty dead this was in the middle of the week though I think so we sat in the bar area and service was a little slow I think they only had one server serving the entire bar area I ordered the small pizza which is perfect for one person my friend ordered the pizza burger which is pretty interesting I had never seen a pizza burger before so she ordered it. She liked it it's basically a calzone with I mean Patty in it so just think of it that way there's no bread or buns or anything like that. I have the garlic knots I think and those are pretty good the wings were good and the pizza was good I do recommend the barbecue pizza because. We did drink there and the bar tab really added up so I wouldn't really drink here if I were you the prices are a little higher if that's all you're going to do go to a dive bar and get your drink on there. will I come back to this place I don't think I will because it is pretty far for my house if I'm happy to be in the area and remember this place is there and I want lunch then maybe I will stop but I'm not going to make a specific trip all the way to this...
