We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while waiting to close on our new home. We had several issues during our stay, so many that they ended up comping us one free night to try and make up for some of it (which was nice, better than a stick in the eye, know what I mean?)
You will hear EVERYTHING from your room. Get the top floor if possible to at least avoid hearing the footsteps. We were next to a room with a screaming infant who kept us up all night long. It's a pet-friendly hotel, so we also heard lots of dog barking throughout the night.
We were staying during some cold days and they ran out of hot water. After we had a couple cold showers, we asked the front desk if there was a problem, and were told the boilers needed to catch up from it being a busy morning for hot water.
During our 5-night stay, our room was cleaned/restocked twice and both times because we had to specifically request it. After the first day of it not being cleaned, we were told the cleaner "just forgot". The second time was because "they don't clean rooms for stayovers" so we had no clean towels, shampoo, soap etc.
The refrigerator cabinet didn't close, so I walked into it about 500 times. The refrigerator also made everything completely frozen (sodas, food etc) even on the lowest setting.
The elevator is painfully slow. I MEAN PAINFULLY SLOW. Most of the time I just opted for the stairs.
This hotel smells bad. The bottom floor/lobby smells like a spice cabinet. The second floor hall smelled like vinegar, and our room smelled like dirty musty body odor.
The toilet did not flush correctly. It was like there wasn't enough pressure pushing the water down, so it got clogged and we had to borrow a plunger from the front desk. Apparently it happens often because they had a plunger ready for us on stand-by.
We never sampled the breakfast, but I did try to make myself a coffee only to discover they were out of creamer.
Remember earlier I mentioned they comped us one additional night? That was due to the hot water issue. Well the comped night process was also a nightmare. The manager, Gary, told us on day 2 that he would "take care of it". Of course he didn't bother letting any of the other staff know he was doing this for us, or noting our account, so when we went to the front desk to confirm we were okay to stay one additional night, they had no idea what we were talking about and looked at us like we were crazy. I guess the day staffer got ahold of Gary and he approved it, but when we got back to the room later that night our key didn't work. We went to the night staffer (different person) and he had no idea what we were talking about, didn't want to give us a key, etc. Apparently their computer just showed us as having checked out even though all of our stuff was still in our room - good thing they didn't rent it to somebody else while we were gone! He had to call somebody about it before giving us a working key.
On checkout day (about 3 hours before checkout time), I went downstairs to get one of the two luggage carts and both were taken into rooms by other guests. I waited over an hour for somebody to return one and it never happened, so it took about 5 trips to load up the car. Not the hotels fault, just something annoying to top off the poor stay in general.
Positive: the bed was so comfortable. Hands down the best thing about the room was the big soft bed. The pillows weren't great but fine for hotel standards.
Only stay here if you're getting an amazing daily rate, because this hotel is not much higher quality than the low budget motels off...
Read moreMy husband reserved a specific suite with a jacuzzi tub in the room over the phone with a front desk customer service clerk one week before our reservation date. When we arrived on our reservation date, we checked in and received our room keys. My husband immediately noticed that the room was not the one he had reserved over the phone and asked for it to be corrected. The woman exclaimed that the requested room was unavailable and “they don’t reserve specific rooms, just a room type.” My husband further explained to her that he did reserve a specific room with a front desk clerk last week, and based on size, we needed to be placed in that room. She then repeated herself multiple times about the room not being available and “they don’t reserve specific rooms, just a room type.” After this heated conversation continued, my husband and I were led to believe that they had given up our reserved room and/or that the clerk who made our room reservation did not know he couldn’t book us into a specific room. My husband was upset with the customer service we received and wanted the woman’s supervisor’s name and phone number. She did not comply and claimed that she was the General Manager and there was no one above her. My husband told her he needed the information of someone he could talk to by the morning, and we walked away. We walked about 15 feet away to the elevator and began a private conversation on how the business here was terrible and how he did reserve the specific room. The General Manager overheard our conversation and advanced us down the hall, exclaiming again that “they don’t reserve specific rooms, just a room type” in a very upset and flustered tone. She kept repeating this statement with every retort my husband expressed. She also exclaimed multiple times that we were more than welcome to go elsewhere if we were not happy with the room. My husband told her that it was New Year’s Eve, and she should know there won’t be available reservations anywhere else in the area, and that our original reservation should have been honored. She repeated her sentence again but also added that if he “continues to have a problem,” she would ask us to leave. She walked back to the front desk at this point. Upon entering the room, we were disgusted to find the room in ill repair. The jacuzzi had jets and a water fountain broken. The carpet was ripped where the laminate met it. There was water damage on the ceiling and down the wall. There was makeup residue on the hanging hair dryer. The original room we reserved we had stayed in before and did not have the same issues this room did. Overall, this experience was awful, and we will never stay at this hotel again. The Manager was unprofessional and was wrong to advance us down the hallway to continue to argue with us and refuse to give us a point of contact for the complaint. It was obvious she was not equipt with the skills to handle our complaint, and she lacked customer service skills. If she was unable to honor our request, she should have apologized for the miscommunication when we originally reserved our room and offered us a discount in an effort to make up for the inconvenience.

Read moreFront desk staff was friendly and courteous. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a 3 queen bed suite which was clean and spacious. There were TVs in each room, along with a coffee maker, ironing board, iron, refrigerator, microwave, and hair dryer. The couch, beds and pillows were VERY comfortable (nice touch that the blankets are put between two easy-to-launder sheets so they don't get dirty). Air conditioning worked great and the rooms were quiet. We appreciated that it is a smoke-free hotel, so no lingering cigarette smells. Shower worked great (plenty of hot water) and the cleaning staff were friendly and did a good job each day. There are ice machines on the main floor and the 3rd floor. The hot breakfast was FANTASTIC! We ate so much that we never had to stop for lunch. There was cold cereal, oatmeal, granola, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bagels & cream cheese, mini muffins, variety of bread for toast, hot pancakes with syrup, apples, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. The food staff quickly refilled the food right up until breakfast ended at 9:00 AM. The hotel is located right next to the 10 freeway and is close to restaurants and WalMart. We didn't have a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but both looked clean and had towels available for guests. Check out was quick and easy. We will definitely stay here again! NOTES: If you can hear freeway noise, make sure your window is closed all the way. Air conditioning is noisy, but we were still able to sleep just fine. If you're allergic to animals, there may be dander in the rooms since this is a pet-friendly hotel. Parking spaces seemed a little tight, so be careful if you're driving a large...
