At first, I would describe this hotel as neutral. Though this hotel feels a little outdated and the rooms were a little small, these features could be easily dismissed. ||||The first thing my family noticed when we entered our room was a gross smell. The room did not smell like previous guests, it smelled old and musty - which matched the dated look of the room. We almost contacted the front desk to inquire if there was another room available, but figured most rooms likely smelled the same way. Additionally, the person working the front desk was not friendly. That is not to say they were unfriendly, they just didn't feel very approachable. It seemed best to just accept the room for what it was.||||The next issue we recognized was the beds were full-sized and not queen-sized, as the hotel advertises. We had booked a room for my husband and I and our three children. We knew the smaller bed would not accommodate our three children, so we went to a nearby store and bought an air mattress. We were able to move the desk from the corner of the room so we could place the air mattress, and our child, safely out of the small walkway. All seemed well enough and the smaller beds were no longer an issue.||||As we utilized the bathroom that evening, we instantly noticed how noisy the bathroom door was, and we literally had to ram our shoulders into the door to get it to latch closed. This was mildly irritating. Though each time a person had to use the restroom in the middle of the night, the sound of the bathroom door was so loud that it woke up those that were sleeping.||||A couple of minor things we also noticed were the amateur patch jobs that had been done (which diminished the value of the room), and some dirty smears by the trashcans that had the appearance of dried blood.||||The food is what you would expect at a Comfort Inn. The person who ran the breakfast in the morning did an excellent job. Everything was well stocked and tidy and when guests were finished at their tables, the tables were quickly wiped down.||||The AC worked great. Our family prefers a cooler room, and the AC wasn't too loud or overpowering. The wifi also worked great, and we didn't experience any connection issues.||||After our stay at the hotel, we received an email asking us to fill out a short survey regarding our stay. Honest feedback was left, which noted the positive and negative issues mentioned above. The next day we received an unsigned email from the hotel. The person that wrote the email apparently did not appreciate honest feedback (Shocker, the survey they send is NOT anonymous), and wrote us a message stating how rude our feedback was. They then accused us of having more than our family of 5, of moving all the furniture in the room, and of lying about the blood-like smears on the walls by the trashcans. They also suggested we find a different hotel to stay at in the future, as our feedback was so rude.||||This unfriendly and unprofessional response aligned with our initial feelings of the front desk staff. Their response and hostility to honest feedback is also why we give this hotel a 1-star rating. ||||-Again, our family only had 5 guests. ||-The only furniture moved was the desk and the chair that accompanied it. No other furniture was moved. (Moving the desk was quick and easy, and we did forget to return it to its original place when we left). ||||I just wonder how they reacted to the people smoking pot down the hallway from us, and from those that were vaping in the room across from ours. Then again, they probably didn't notice, as those smells were more pleasant than the smell of...
Read moreI am giving them 2 stars because the hotel was very clean and the bed was comfy. And because the hotel let us have an early check in.That was about the only good part of our stay.
The customer service was beyond horrible basically non-existent. From the moment we checked in till we checked out not a single smile or hello.
We check in with a women named Haley. Never once did she smile or even say hello. We are platinum members with choice hotels and normally the people checking us in will say something about this and give us our welcome gift, which is a choice hotel policy at the comfort Inn hotels. None was offered, and nothing was even mentioned of it. We unloaded our vehicle and went to our room the key would not work. No big deal went to the front desk thinking the keys where just bad, Haley grabbed the key from my hand rolled her eyes and told me she would show me. She came down to the room and opened the door, we thanked her and apologized for our mistake, we got an eye roll in return. Luckily we did not deal with her again. Later that day another woman was at the front desk. I believe she was the manager her name is something like Saugri, I'm sure I am spelling that wrong. We where on our way to the pool and I stopped to ask her if there was towels near the pool and her response was "the towels are in the fitness room, you need to go get them yourself". So I smiled and walked away quickly. The only person that was nice to interact with was a gentleman who worked the night shift. I needed a blanket for the crib for our toddler, I went and asked him for an extra blake he got me one with a smile. During check out with the same manager from the day before was more of the same thing no smile no thank you, basically just a hurry up and leave.
We stay at choice hotels many many times through the year, this by far was the worse customer service we ever encountered. As I said before we are platinum members and normally get great customer services. Apparently this property does not care for guest who are loyal customers of this brand. I do not need to be praised for being a platinum member but a smile and a hello go a long way.
The pool was extremely small, and the spa was a very brown color.
We will make it a point to never stay at this property again. There are plenty of other hotels along this street we will make sure we stay at one of them next time. I advised you to find are different hotel if you value customer service. This property does not. And when you see how the manager behaves it is no wonder. I are sure this property has an owner who never actually visits the property and has no idea just how bad there guest...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the room was very clean and very comfy beds. The customer service however is non-existent. From the moment we checked in it has been horrible. The women Haley who checked us in never said hello, just wanted the name handed us the keys and went back to what she was doing. We are platinum members with choice hotels, no mention of that was said. We are suppose to recieve a welcome gift upon checkin this did not happen. I guess they do not care what your status is with the hotel or that you are a loyal customer of the brand. Every other choice hotel we stay at always thanks us or mentions the status, and always give us our welcome gift. It was not busy there was not another soul in the lobby. Once we got to the room the door would not open, I thought maybe the keys where bad, no big deal. I went to the front desk and told her our room would not open. She rolled her eyes and me and said "ugh, I will go open it for you" grabbing the key card from me. She was able to get the door open, I told her thank you as she walked away. Thankfully I did not have to speak to her again. Then another women was there I am going to assume it was the manager Sagui, she did not have a name tag and she was not wearing a uniform. I heard her interact with a few guest and she was just as rude as the first lady. I had the pleasure of speaking to her to ask her if there where towels at the pool her response in a very gruff voice "they are in the fitness room you have to get them yourself". The only employee that ever smiled or said hello was the gentleman who works the later shift, I had to ask for an extra blanket for the crib we requested for our toddler, he was happy and completed my request with a smile. The pool is very small and A LOT of cloreane. The hot tub was very dirty so we did not get in. I would never stay at this hotel ever again. I don't need anyone to praise me for being a guest but a smile and a hello goes a very long way. When the manager herself is so rude there is no reason for the employees to act any different. We stay at hotels many times through the year and this by far was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Stay away of you can. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to...
