This was by far one of the worst dining out experiences I have had. Restaurant was surprisingly not busy and yet we waited almost 50 minutes for our breakfast. Strangely enough, it seemed that nobody around us was getting food for quite awhile. I would say there was easily a 20 minute gap where nothing came out of the kitchen. We asked our server when it would be out and were told there was a shift change in the kitchen. I still don't understand how that constitutes waiting almost an hour for bacon and eggs and pancakes. Finally, it seemed all the food was coming out for everyone around us, including three separate tables that sat down well after we had. When we asked for the manager, (Miranda) we explained that it had then been over 45 min since we had ordered and others were being served first. The server said he "accidentally grabbed the other table's order first" and the manager said she would go check. No apology, however. When it finally did get delivered about 5 minutes later, the omelet was literally cold to the touch and the over medium eggs were barely over easy. And to top it off, the pumpkin pancakes never came. The server said they would be out soon and we were done with breakfast before he ever came back - except he came back with our check. We were apparently supposed to be thrilled with getting 2 coffees taken off the check and one omelet removed. The server stated that he discounted the other two meals... one of which was the pumpkin pancakes that never arrived- and were still supposedly pending. When we asked why we were being charged for something that we never received, the response we got was, "well that's why I discounted it." We then asked for the manager. Miranda couldn't be bothered because she sent the server back to our table to let us know she wouldn't be coming to our table because she was busy. "Busy" in this scenario is hanging out at the kitchen entry chatting with waitresses. Mind you, we had already told her about our issue. The server informed us that our meals now were complimentary and said he was sorry. While HE did apologize multiple times, he basically blew us off until we called for action, and then when we did, did little to resolve the problem. He even said he could bring some regular pancakes because he'd "been yellin' at the kitchen for the last hour and don't know why they won't make 'em." What?!??? We didn't have the manager's name so we wanted to get it to let upper management know in this review what a failure this was so we asked on the way out the door. To add insult to injury, we asked the hostess, "what is the name of the manager?" The answer was, "well she's only here cuz our other manager is away." "Ok, but what is her name?" (Pointing at her standing in the kitchen doorway). "I don't know her name." She looked at the other employee and said, "do you know her name?" The 2nd employee said she didn't. Are you kidding??? Then we asked her to go find out- and that is how we got to "Miranda"- if that's even real. Regardless, today was simply awful on all counts and we will...
Read moreIf I could rate this restaurant ZERO stars I absolutely would.
I have ordered from this IHOP multiple times only to have the order completely wrecked.
Case in point, I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs through one of the many food delivery companies. Upon receiving the order, the gravy was left out. This wouldn’t be a terrible issue if only happening once....
I went to the location have the ordered fixed (replaced and hot so I could eat it as would normally be expected). I brought the delivered food back, explained the mishap and waited patiently (no embellishment here, 20 more minutes) for them to remake that plate. They brought it back to the front To-Go counter and reassured me everything was great....
Or so I thought.
Upon returning home I discovered THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. The gravy was absent the meal. Again. Having been fully comforted and consoled by the employee that my problem would be resolved, addressed by the on-shift manager that his team could handle this, and the order being checked before placing back in a new To-Go bag to send home (with the aforementioned referenced customer), one would believe this was impossible!
But alas, no.
So..... Fast forward to today. Another attempt. Desire to have breakfast delivered while watching my favorite Sunday gladiators perform at the highest levels of exhibition. The beckoning call of a chicken fried steak and eggs, smothered in the elusive country gravy was too tempting.
Placed the order. Hoping. Waiting (again, without embellishment, 60 minutes). Finally! Arrival! The anticipation. The prior hour contemplating the taste and fulfillment of this breakfast of King’s. To have what I’ve been waiting for to quell my appetite to be hear is almost too much.
And then......
It. Can’t. Be!
The order was missing something. What do you think it could be? Eggs? Check. Side of pancakes? Check. Hashbrowns? Check. Chicken fried steak? Check. All components one would expect to build the fundamentals of a solid chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast. I felt as though I should confirm with an expert who could reaffirm for me these are the correct ingredients to construct this legendary breakfast. So I called the restaurant....
I asked all the questions one would need to build a case that I was indeed missing a key component to assemble this meal. We reviewed all of the items I received. He agreed I should have everything that was delivered....
However, the ultimate determining factor is deciding I was missing something was when the employee confirmed by stating, “a chicken fried steak should OF COURSE include gravy.”
Please join me in NEVER ordering from this business. I can’t begin to understand how it remains as busy as it is with the amount of incompetence that permeates from the...
Read morePretty good. The burgers, wraps, fries, etc. are hit, like the waitress said "hot, very hot" when she came with our food (even though it wasn't that hot). Fries are very good. Pancakes weren't as hot as the others but they were warm. However, the pancakes came with no butter, I had to ask so they could bring me some. I read other reviews saying that they didn't have specific food and when we ordered drinks, I ordered a chocolate milk and they told me they are all out of chocolate milk and just milk in general which was odd because milk is crucial to coffee and buttermilk pancakes, both of which we got, but no milk in general. I ended up ordering a raspberry iced tea, which was really good, still wished I got a chocolate milk. Waitress is ok, a bit slow and ignorant, but ok. Another thing that was odd was shat at one point all the waitresses were talking in the corner while there were 2 families in line to get seated. Also noticed that 15-25 minutes after the family sitting next to us left, their table was still dirty. Also realized that our table was cleaned in a rush while we were walking to the table. Overall pretty good especially the food, can't beat that. I can't get enough of those GOOD buttermilk pancakes, best pancakes ever.
Also for those wondering, IHOP's free short stack pancake day is on February 27th, 2018. Donations go to Rady Childrens...
