I asked the cashier six times if the burrito had anything other than green chili and beans. I triple checked no meat and no cheese, etc. I asked again to be sure there was no cheese as this was a mexican restaurant and this was surprising to me. I said I'm a vegan and I don't eat animal products. I was reassured there were no other ingredients. I start eating my burrito... and bite into carnitas. I'm angry and I'm frustrated but politely I return to the counter and tell her that there is meat in it. She said yes there is green chili. I respond that green chili is a vegetable, not a meat. She says it is green chili carnitas, not just green chilis. My meat eating boyfriend ordered the same thing had the same misconception, so it wasn't just me. She thought I was asking if there were any additional meats or cheeses. This makes no sense as I said no animal products but okay. I tell her it was a simple misunderstanding. I apologize and reiterate that I am a vegan and dont eat animal products and I ask for a bean burrito. A simple bean burrito. After all the fuss I made about cheese.... guess what's on that bean burrito when I get...
Read moreNikos is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with colorful décor and friendly staff that make you feel at home.
The food is absolutely delicious — the burritos are packed with flavor, the tacos come with fresh, perfectly seasoned fillings, and the enchiladas are rich and comforting. Their salsa and chips are always fresh, and the guacamole tastes homemade. Portions are generous without being overwhelming, and the prices are fair for the quality you get.
What really sets Nikos apart is the service. The staff is attentive, quick, and genuinely kind, making sure you enjoy your meal from start to finish. Whether you’re dining in with family, grabbing a quick lunch, or ordering takeout, the experience is consistently excellent.
If you’re craving authentic Mexican food with great service, Nikos is a spot you can’t go wrong with. Highly...
Read moreThey definitely have floating prices depending on I'm not sure what factors. But I order the same thing every time, and the prices are always different, varying as much as $6, which is a lot for a $20 plate that should only cost $15. Their drive-through PA has literally been broken for 10 years. They recently "fixed" it, but still don't use it. They "prefer cash on the weekends." Randomly, your carne or your salsa might taste like fish or dirty dish rag. 75% of the time, it's fire. But 25% of the time, it's dirty dish rag. N I have gotten food poisoning here multiple times ordering meat other than carne asada. Generally, they're nice enough when answering the window. There are 3 food trucks around the corner on Sandario by Main Street Market and Family Dollar. All of them are better. Save your...
