After reading the reviews we were very excited to try this place. Wow our experience was nothing like the reviews. No one up front to take orders just a kiosk. For first time customers I was expecting someone to speak to about their food. Other reviews talked about friendly staff being helpful. No friendly staff today. Toward the end of my kiosk order it asked if I wanted to leave a tip I said no. I'm not opposed to tipping but at this point not a single person spoke to me. I paid for our food requested the receipt to be emailed, while reviewing the receipt z I noticed a $6 + tip added to my order. Still I haven't seen a single person. After calling out a few times a person I took to be the cook stuck his head out the window I told him what happened he stated he didn't do it. At this point my first impression were getting worse, I requested my money back. The cook said he would have to call his manager. At this point all I wanted was my money back so I could go somewhere else. I'm currently waiting for the return. Kinda sad, we were very excited about this place but in 10 minutes it turned to major disappointment. I wish I was writing a positive review but there was nothing positive about our visit. I wish the owner luck. They will need it. By the way while we were still waiting, 3 different groups stopped looked at the menu and walked...
Read moreSo, I'm a big burger fan from MN, that is lucky enough to spend some warm months down here. I split my time between Phoenix and Tucson, and have been looking for a worthwhile burger down here for three years now without much success. In fact, Freddy's was the best I'd found, which we all know is a fast food burger. Until yesterday. I went with my MIL while doing some shopping. I'd looked up Old Pot Hole and found decent reviews, just not a lot of them. Now, when we got there i wasn't expecting much. Outlet mall food court that was pretty much empty at 5 pm on a Saturday, with the only establishment with customers being the Philly Cheesesteak place. After checking out the menu, I decided on the Desert Heat (jalapeño, American and pepper jack cheese, hot sauce, onion, 3 smash patties) and MIL got the mushroom Swiss minus one patty (the standard is 3). All the burgers come with fries, and both of ours were $12.99. People, go eat these burgers. They are worth your time and money, and the people running it deserve your business. Both burgers were fantastic! Fresh and hot, along with delicious hand cut fries! I fear with this location they won't be here next year without more business! In fact, I'm going back today!...
Read moreWe had the Ol Pot Hole before several times and raved about it to our friends and family but we visited today and have to say it was more than disappointing. They had a sign saying that they lost their old chef, completely understandable at first glance, however the service was average at best, wasn't handed our drinks which was whatever, but when we asked about getting our drinks was told there were "technical difficulties". It felt like a strange thing to say but we moved past it, when we got our food immediately we could tell the difference. It was like a plain burger you would get from a family cookout at best. Tried it and we were disappointed, the fries were soggy, burger was as well. You can use the same ingredients but unfortunately the love and care that was felt in the burgers before was no longer there. Overall the experience was just no longer the same, not the same love and care about it. Hopefully some time in the future we will try it again and it will be as it used to be, or at least better than...
