Consistently disappointing service and food quality. Today was the straw that broke the camels back, so to say. Once again, only two cars in drive through, order a couple big breakfasts... pay, then get told to "pull forward" and wait. they bring out incomplete order (AGAIN) after a 6 minute wait...The person who came out to hand me food walked away so fast i didn't get chance to check order. Forced to put car in park, walk in to ask for remaining order. Manager askes me what is missing ( couple hash browns) She walks over to a Gal at the cook station, who shakes her head NO and waves hands in the air, manager comes back to me and asks me for my receipt... Have to walk outside again, get a receipt (for $2 worth of food order incompletion).... she sees the mistake.. another 2 minute wait. By this time, I have had it. Got my money back. I don't need some bi**hy order gal questioning my truthfulness that they messed up my order. this has all take 15 minutes now, for a drive through order to two big breakfasts and extra order of hash browns. Went to nee Nee's on the island. And I swear to god, take out order took only 4 minutes!! Full sit down, home cooked food FASTER than a mcDonalds can fulfil a drive through order. This mcDonalds consistently offers the same level of poor service on a consistent basis. Since original owners sold this franchise several years ago, current owners have no clue how to offer good service. This McDonalds is definitely NOT in line with level of food quality and service at other McDonalds. This was my last visit to this McDonalds after using it for over 15 years. I do NOT recommend this location. I am a resident, and several others locally have told me they stopped going to this location too due to the extremely poor level of service. many of the employees working here DRIP of their distaste in being in the food service industry. I do not go for fast food often (maybe twice a month)- nor have I EVER bothered to write a review for an already sub-par food chain, however, after not one but two absolutely infuriating experiences at the same McDonald's, I am hoping that someone up the corporate food chain will see this and find out WHAT is going on with the evening/late night crew at this particular store. After waiting with a total of THREE vehicles in line (mine included, total, from pick up window to the "end of the line") for ten minutes (after sitting to static on the intercom, then being told to "hold on a moment" then "pull forward" (without an order being placed) then sitting, sitting, sitting...) I watched the clock and pulled away and left. No one behind me, just the two vehicles in front of me, neither of which moved. I have worked in the service industry and I worked fast food in high school-by no means is it appropriate to let customers sit and wait, not take their order, and have no response. Unacceptable. Unfortunately, late night food options on Marco Island are a monopoly run by this lousy excuse for a restaurant. Instead you are left to opt for cruddy to go pizza slices from 7-11. If your employees are incompetent and incapable of working (there were 3 cars in the employee lot) then TRAIN THEM. If they are doing a crappy job because they work for minimum wage durning the late night shift, pay them more. "Customer service" does not even exist...
Read moreI ordered through the tablet inside since the drive thru was full and it was a busy day. I wanted to pay in the register because I had cash and we received our order number. After about an hour of waiting, I went and asked the worker where my order was. First of all, he looked like he didn’t want to be there and was giving me attitude from the beginning. I told him I’ve been waiting an hour for my order and gave him my order #, he said it was a busy day so they didn’t take it because we didn’t pay thru card/online. Like what am I supposed to do then??? He also said that they aren’t taking any new orders, I said I wasn’t interested in that because I had ordered an hour ago. He said if we want to do a new order that we’d have to wait another hour. I literally told him I’m good off that and left. It was so disrespectful that they just looked at my order and decided to not make it just because I was paying in cash. I understand that they’re busy and there’s not a lot of workers, but even then it was a simple order for my little brother (Happy meal) and they couldn’t make it.
