Extremely Disappointing Experience – Do Not Host Your Event at Quinn’s at JW Marriott Marco Island
I am compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience hosting my daughter’s wedding reception at Quinn’s on the Beach, located at the JW Marriott Marco Island. What should have been a joyful and memorable evening was marred by disorganized service, poor management, and a complete failure to deliver on contracted agreements.
From the very beginning of the event, the service was unacceptable. Appetizers were barely circulated, and guests were told that certain selections—such as the fried calamari—had run out early in the evening. Shockingly, the waitstaff focused their attention on a single guest table while completely neglecting the bride’s table and her immediate family, despite the fact that we—her parents—were hosting and funding the event.
There was a nearly one-hour delay between appetizers and entrées, and the food that was eventually served did not match the custom menu we had selected and paid for. Even worse, I paid extra per guest for premium upgrades that were not provided. These were not minor oversights—they were significant contractual breaches.
One of the most distressing issues was the complete disregard for the dietary needs of my young grandson, who has multiple food allergies. I had worked closely with the staff in advance to ensure he would receive a safe and inclusive meal, including a special dessert. Despite this being clearly outlined in our agreement, they failed to provide it. This kind of negligence is unacceptable and potentially dangerous.
When I brought my concerns to the chef, he informed me that under normal protocol, the restaurant stops accepting regular diners during private events like ours in order to focus solely on the wedding. However, he stated that the manager had disregarded this and continued taking in additional restaurant guests, severely compromising our service.
The event was a complete letdown and an embarrassment in front of our family and friends. The incompetence and lack of accountability displayed by the management at Quinn’s was appalling. I will be submitting a formal complaint to Marriott Corporate and strongly advise anyone considering Quinn’s for a private event to look elsewhere.

Read moreThe food at Quinn’s is fresh & of great quality, but not worth dealing with the terrible service. You come here for the location, the view, the sunset & the fire guy (IYKYK!)
Every time we’ve visited the service has been remarkably bad. They seem to be chronically understaffed resulting in overwhelmed staff, backed up orders and terrible service. It isn’t the staff’s fault, but it sure feels like the JW is just trying to make a buck by running it bare bones always.
Our most recent visit was with a large party of 10 people. We were sure to get there early to get a table, and were delighted when we were sat close to the beach right away. Our waiter then took over 30 minutes to take our drink orders, and another 20ish before they even arrived. We put in our food and drinks at the same time, per the waiters advice, and everything still didn’t come out timely. Our appetizers never arrived, our meals were mostly incorrect and took an eternity to arrive. Then at the end of the meal a different server brought the appetizers out, with a confused look on his face as he looked at our table and realized we had already finished entrees and were packing up to leave.
Between the missing apps, incorrect drinks and wrong meals we were missing a total of eight items, which is laughable for a restaurant that costs this much. One or two mistakes, fine… but 8? They said they were experiencing a computer issue but we’ve had similar experiences every time we’ve come so who knows.
The waiter did the right thing and took it all off of our bill at the end but even that was incorrect and needed to be revised again until it matched what we actually received.
Eat elsewhere then grab a drink at Kane’s. Skip Quinn’s, esp if you have hungry kiddos in tow. It’s not worth the...
Read moreQuinn's has a nice vibe right on the beach. However, my experience will not lead me to visit this restaurant any time soon and would not recommend to any of my friends. We were able to see the fire show. Very fun and entertaining. A little short, but still very good. For beverages: we had the passionfruit-ginger mojito and was wonderful! Also, had the Florida Cracker (beer) and that was fine. We decided to sit at the bar to 1) enjoy the fire show and sunset and 2) just avoid long dinner time seating wait. However, the bar was absolutely a regrettable experience as we were accompanied by German roaches the entire time. Ultimately and down the bananas and the juice bottles (obviously I didnt order at other drinks). No one at all paid any mind to them. One of the servers just spilled a beer cup on the seat next to us (thankfully they are mesh) and just acted like it was nothing. The other bartenders came out to clean it up. Honestly, the roach situation just ruined the moment. The meal: the Quinn's burger with veggie patty was absolutely outstanding! Hands down the best veggie burger (we added bacon). The ahi tuna poke. The tuna was just not marinated and "soft" and "dull". There was a smear of avocado at the bottom of the dish and the plate is supposed to come with plantain chips; while it had some plantain chips, it was heavily topped with tortilla chips. Very disappointing. Overall, glad we visited, but will not visit again. On our way out we expressed our concerns to the hostess and truly hope there's action...
