Read moreThis was by far the worst most embarrassing experience I've had at a restaurant. Was in the area for a wedding in December and spend a lot of my summer in that area. The morning after the wedding, myself and 9 others went to Johnny's for breakfast. Note that I was paying the bill. Ten minutes after everyone received their food except me, I mentioned to the waitress that my food did not come yet. She responded "it should be out in a minute". After another 10 minutes I had to get up and wait near the kitchen for my waitress to come out to make her aware that I still did not receive my food. She said she would go get it now. I went back to my table and waited. After everyone in my party was finished eating, our waitress finally came to our table and was surprised when I told her I never received my food, and instead of apologizing, proceeded to make excuses. One excuse was the kitchen was really busy. I looked around and there was a total of 4 tables and it was off season. I then went and found the manager and explained what happened. The manager did not care at all. She seemed annoyed and laughed and said I already know and will take it off the bill and walked away. On the way out I said to the manager you could of at least came to our table and apologized for what happened and that I did not come here to pay to watch 9 other people eat. She then got a disgusted look on her face and yelled at me that she did apologize and took it off the bill. (Thanks for not billing me for something I never received) As I was walking out the door she was still yelling something at me. (very embarrassing) This really put a bad end to a great wedding. Afterward, I emailed the owners and they responded with nothing more then "sorry it was not to my liking". They obviously do not care to keep...
Read moreI went to dinner at Johnny's on Friday night October 4, 2024. I have been to Johnny's a number of times in the past.
My friend and I ordered fried calamari and lolly pop lamb chops. The calamari was good, fired just right and the tomato sauce was good. The lam was just ok. actually it has a slight smell of fish. could not understand that but I let it go.
My friend ordered a veal dish and I ordered the 20 oz cowboy special. That's when things went down hill. I told the server, Jenny, I wanted the steak cooked so that it would be slightly pink inside. The dinners came and was delivered by a food runner. I cut into my steak only to find it was blood red in the center. Now I understand this was not the servers fault, However the server never returned to the table to check on us. I asked several people to find our server that I needed to speak to her. It took over 10 minutes for her to come over to the table. My friend was finished his dinner before the server Jenny came to ask if everything was ok. She took my dinner to have it cooked more. When my steak came back to the table it was cooked ok. But to add insult to injury the 2 sides that came with the dinner were ice cold. When the server finally came back I told her they never replaced or re-heated the sides. She got me another serving of mashed potatoes but never replaced the ice cold string beans.
If this meal was inexpensive I would say ok. However the bill was $145.01 for two people with no drinks. I was extremely disappointed on the service and more that upset because of the price of the meal. I knew how much it was and that was not a problem if everything went well.
