Bartender was rude, she has a nasty attitude. Not worth explaining any further. Owner says nobody ever calls him only posts on here. I called and owner wasn't available so an employee took my complaint. He asked how he could help me, I explained the situation as best I could as he continued to over-talk and interrupt me so I left my number with him to give to the tough guy owner who says everyone is rude and nobody calls him, since the rude bartender is one of four investors and married to the owner, I am sure nothing will change. All of us CRAZY customers must be wrong and the rude bartender and her husband MUST be right! What a joke, there were 5 people in there last night. I have been to Greenbriar, Jesters (more your speed), Cheers and other local bars with food like yours and NEVER been asked for a credit card or pre-payment for a beer and a burger JACKASS! People walk out on your DUMP and STIFF you with the bill probably after they have had enough lip from your wife.
If you like plenty of attitude with your beer then Jesse's is the place for you. As you chase all the new clients away with your pay up front rule and an attitude when we ask why since NO other bar/restaurant does that. Your explanation is because you get stiffed on so many checks... that is probably because of the clients you attract, the ones like me who would never walk out on a check won't be coming back.
You also say you are a BAR not a restaurant...then don't have a FOUR page menu, don't advertise your GREAT food and CATERING and 'Home of the Philly Cheese Steak' wouldn't a bar be 'home to a beer or a shot' not a sandwich??? Your website says WE DELIVER...what liquor or FOOD? Front page on site says FOOD and DRINK specials, you are a bar and a restaurant, you have a full time cook and a full kitchen!!!! Second tab on your site (MENU) again just as much a restaurant as a bar.
I paid for my beer and left the beer as well as NO tip. My TIP is don't run potential clients out with your attitude. I own a local business up the street with 15 employees and wanted a beer and a burger after work while I scouted a place to have our Christmas Party since your BAR advertises how it CATERS although it is not a restaurant! You lost my business, anyone I speak to, my employees for lunch or dinners etc.
RESPONSE TO OWNER:
If your wife says ANYTHING other than this she is full of crap!
I walked in and sat down, I said: Hello, How are you? She said OK what can I get you (or something to that effect) I asked if she had Miller Lite on Tap and she pointed to a sign behind me on a window and said there is our list of draft beers and walked away! (WHO WOULD LOOK BEHIND THEM AT THE WINDOWS FACING THE STREET) She set the tone right away CHIEF.
She then brought me someone else's drink and then realized it was the wrong person and brought me my beer and asked me for a credit card. I stated I was going to order food as well and asked for a menu she said I still needed to give a credit card to run a tab. I asked why she said this is a bar not a restaurant I said I never heard of such a thing, she asked where I was from and that this is the case at every bar she has been a bartender for 23 years blah blah blah. I said I would pay cash and she said the beer was $3.00 which I gave her and started looking at the menu. I ordered a cheeseburger Rare and she said we don't do rare, I asked why she said they only do medium rare so I said skip it and left my beer and walked out. I did not say ONE rude thing to her. As for not cooking a burger rare that is not only ridiculous BUT also alienates 1/5 of your potential customers. I don't eat meat medium rare or medium or medium well or well done. You allow people to smoke inside your building but not eat a rare burger? How was I rude in ANY way to your wife? I wasn't, your guy on the phone this morning shouldn't over talk people and since I was calling for YOU he shouldn't have insisted on hearing my complaint if he wasn't going to let me speak without...
Read moreHey there, team fans! It's time for SPORTSBALL at Jesse's Xtreme Sports Bar & Liquor Store! This spot hadn't hit my radar since moving to South Florida in 2012 until Brittnee Haas, a top-notch former bartender from the now-closed The Crooked Hook Bar and Grill in Coral Springs recommended it. Skeptical but curious, I decided to dive in.
Jesse's is a loud, smoke-free sports bar, buzzing especially on Sundays at 6 p.m. with fans cheering on their favorite teams. What makes it unique? Well, it's got a liquor store right next to it. This place draws an eclectic crowd, from the booming next-door vape and Delta-8 business clientele to families enjoying the game. Take this one family I saw, with their baby in a Ravens shirt, wide awake yet surprisingly quiet, not crying during the Ravens/Chiefs game. Perhaps a closet KC fan?
As for the food, the menu's pricing is as aggressive as a linebacker on game day. You've got a '7 items for $7' deal changing every Thursday – today, it included a sausage and pepper sub and a Mini French Dip. Come Monday lunch, the 'ridiculously expensive' $12 8-ounce bacon cheeseburger drops to just $9. Then there's the Cheesesteak, Jesse's claim to fame: 8 ounces of meat oozing with melted white American cheese. Add mushrooms, onions, and hot peppers at no extra cost, or switch it to a Chicken Philly. Served on a soft hoagie roll (I can't confirm if it's an authentic Amoroso, but it's darn good), this sandwich is a behemoth at $12. Want to level up? Throw in some top-notch onion rings for an extra buck.
Rachel went for a 10-piece wing order at $14.75. Considering a larger gathering, like for the Super Bowl? Their 50-piece set is $53.75. We tried the garlic wings – loaded with flavor and perfectly brined.
Now, let's talk drinks. They're a steal here. I bypassed the questionable special signatures that might lure in spring breakers and went straight for a Guinness. Thanks to the bar staff's insistence on clean lines (it's in their contract!), this Guinness was crisp and clean – not quite top Irish pub quality, but far from the worst I've had. The Amber Bock? Also, a hit, served up ice-cold.
The package store was a surprise. Expecting a typical low-end liquor store, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, they've got the cheap stuff and 10 packs of minis, but there's also a selection of quality rums, vodkas, gins, bourbons, tequilas, and scotches, competitively priced, some even a dollar off what you'd find at Costco. And get this: they stock the entire line of Ol' Smokey moonshine and cream liqueurs – a range I haven't seen even at Total Wine in Coral Springs. Plus, they offer Delta-8 gummies, snacks, candy bars, and a full vape section.
Jesse's Xtreme Sports Bar & Liquor Store is worth revisiting. If it's been a while since you last stopped by, consider giving it another shot. I know...
Read moreAlright it’s about time I post a review because I’ll be very honest with the good and the bad. I’ve been to Jessie’s quite a bit and the main reason is how close they are to my house. Used to come to Jessie’s before I was 21 with my dad to get their wings because well they have great wings. All their food I’ve tried is actually pretty damn good. The first issue I had was when I was 20 and went in to buy chicken wings for the family. I was asked for my I.D. I heard the bartender out when she said they’re a bar and that I have to be 21 just to be in there. I don’t know how legally true this is because I’ve sat at bars before I was 21 at other places and ordered food and was just fine. Anyhow, the next time I went in there was on my 21st birthday. I ordered my first legal beer and the bartender (in a rude manor) said “you’re barely 21” sighed and said “what do you want”. I was shocked. But I ordered my beer and continued playing pool with my friends. Next drink I got was a lemon drop shot. It was a really well made shot that’s for sure but the bartebder was not very happy to have to make it for me. Then I went back and ordered a Long Island. Before even making my Long Island I was asked (again with a rude manor) “this is for you right?”. Okay I get it, my girlfriend was there and even though she was 21 she hadn’t actually purchased a drink so there was no way of the bartender knowing how old she was so she was just making sure the Long Island was for me. I’m guesses it furthered her suspicions being that a Long Island is typically ordered by women. Fair enough but don’t make assumptions please. Especially in a rude way. I wouldn’t have had an issue with her asking if she was nice about it. Maybe she had a long day but my friends and I were tipping her a few dollars with every drink we bought and we’ll, it was my damn birthday! Again, Long Island was one of the best that I’ve had to date but it doesn’t excuse her behavior. The last thing was my brother came up to me and said “Hey man I think we should go somewhere else” I said what happened? He said “The bartender just got super pissed because I went up and got a shot, then 2 minutes later I went up and got another.” I was upset. It was my birthday and I chose to go to Jessie’s and I ended up leaving upset and embarrassed. I haven’t been back since. Not even for food. Neither has my dad or brother or any of my friends. It’s a shame because other than one or two bartenders, Jessie’s would be a great spot. My name isn’t Howard btw. That’s just the account I’m currently signed into and don’t know how to log into mine. Anyways there’s my review and more importantly MY opinion on the bar. Thanks for...
