I have been going to this store for years and never had a problem. I’ve seen a lot of workers come and go... The ones that have been there for a long time, know my name, my kids and we always chat. My experience has always been pleasant until this past Sunday.
I went shopping for Father’s Day on Saturday and got a few items. On Sunday, I went back to exchange an item and decided to check out the make-up department. I had the Marshall bag in my hand and was looking at some of the products. I found one I liked and opened the box to make sure that it had no defects, closed it and put it back on the shelf.
As I was doing that, the sales person, Natasha, came next to me starring with absolutely no regards to how this could make me feel! I starred back and she kept on. She then stepped back a bit, not too far. When I left that spot, she moved in and said: “when you open a box, you close it” and slammed the product!
Mind you, I closed that box and even if that wasn’t the case, you don’t treat a situation in that manner!
When I was done with my shopping, I requested to speak to the manager, whom by the way, was annoyed that a customer was reaching out to her. I asked for the employee’s name and corporate number. She did not seem to care and did not even address the situation. Another day as usual I guess!
I was very offended by the action of this lady and I don’t think that it should be tolerated by Marshall!
I called the corporate and referred them to the reviews. Another lady from this post posted a similar situation that she had 3 months ago and I bet it’s with...
Read moreI used to work for the company for 3 years at the Tamarac location (with Valerie, Sophia and Justin!) Anyways, I made a return last night because two out of the three items I purchased I didn't need. Right when I walked into the store. A woman at register one said over her walkie "a return!" I waited in line and was finally called to the next register. As my return was done, the manager (BERNADETTE) with glasses and a blonde Bob hair cut assumed I was another woman and called me "THE PERFUME LADY." I politely said no, and she right away said "OH, YOUR THE LADY THAT ALWAYS RETURNS PERFUMES!?!?!" She was trying to assume whoever this lady was that I was her, and that I always return STOLLEN merchandise! I had a receipt and my return was a blouse and tights! So, I know what tactics she was pulling on me. She made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed as her coworkers and other onlookers started!...
Read moreI had never encountered any issues at Marshalls until today. I bought a purse at the Pompano store and returned it the next day at the Margate location, which is closer to my home. The price tag had fallen off, but I had both the receipt and the tag inside the purse. When the cashier at Margate entered the tag number into their price checker, they claimed the SKU didn’t match the item. The two cashiers were rude and insisted I drive to the Pompano store. I felt they were insinuating that I was trying to switch the tag. I drove 25 minutes to the Pompano location and returned the purse without any issue. The cashier there scanned the tag, and it worked perfectly. I believe the Margate cashier entered the wrong number. I am displeased with their lack of...
