I've been to this location once before, and was craving a Torta on the way home from work one evening. Because they weren't on the way, and some minor errors (now corrected) caused their listing to not come up right away in GoogleMaps at the time, I stopped by another Marietta location. That place was packed, with a line that would have been out the door soon, if I had stayed.
So, I decided to take the drive over to this location, to try some things I viewed on the menu during my first visit (and beef up their listing, so it'll be easier to navigate to later, while I was at it...!).
I ordered the same torta as I had the first time, the Texana--grilled steak, bacon, bell pepper and cheese, along with the standard lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeno, avocado (and, I believe refried beans...?). I opted for no bacon. But let me tell you, these things are HUGE! I have to work on my sandwich over two days before it's finished. Definitely shareable...
I also ordered the chicken taco salad, which consisted of marinated chicken, grated white cheese and a slice of tomato on a bed of coarsely chopped romaine. The salad was just ok, but generous. I feel like it was missing a dressing, maybe a side of salsa...something. *side note: there is a fixins bar with all sorts of condiments and extras--since I didn't know what everything was, I skipped it. The salad was served in a freshly fried flour tortilla bowl--which was best part!
Lastly, I ordered the consome, which is like a spicy, greasy, barbacoa stew of a soup, in all the best ways--Yum! Next time, I'll have them add chopped avocado and that thing will be bomb! While waiting for my order, I realized they have desserts, too!
So, the first time I went, there was a bit of a language barrier, with me speaking English (mostly, lol!), and the staff speaking mostly Spanish--so I would just advise that you brush up on your Spanish food vocab for when you order.
The wait is a bit long for now, as the order is 'prepared to order'. I'm sure that'll change once this location gets busier, and they can better anticipate what people will order most.
Also, if you blink, you'll miss your turn into this place, as the short side of the building is what's visible from the street. It's worth checking out--give this...
Read moreThe restaurant should not be categorized as Mexican food it should be Indian/ Mexican . The meats are seasoned with Indian condiments making it spicy and a strong sent. So ordering food for kids is not recommended if your kids don’t eat spice. The restaurant was empty they should have not messed up on any of the orders . It would have been great if hot sauce bag was ready for those who placed online orders instead of us serving our self. The reason people order to go orders is because we don’t have time we are trying to go in and out . They need to specify how many tacos come when placing order. Just one taco is $4.19 which I find it expensive for a single taco and nothing included. The picture shows only two tacos which equals $8 and some change. They add double tortilla which is fine I just wish it was clarified on the menus that it’s just a single taco. Food taste good overall sad part is not...
Read moreWell people it has happened. The ugliest Mexican food place in Georgia. And there was roaches running around. The pico de gallo had tomatoes that we slimy. It smelled so bad. I asked for a second opinion and we threw the food away in a trash guarded by baby roaches. Georgia, INSPECTORS WILL STOP BY SOON.Don't eat here. It's unsafe. I'm sorry management but this place is unfit to feed animals much less humans. And I'm Mexican before others think otherwise. On a good note it was empty so there no waiting time. 🤷 Here's pics of the food I just threw plus the salsa and the roach I recorded but I can't play video. I tried to kill it and they looked at me upset like it belongs or something. I had to wipe a away the salsa but decided to throw it all away. A shame we work hard all day and this is what...
