Have you seen the newly renovated iLounge Taste the Difference in Marietta? It’s beautiful—bigger, brighter, and full of Caribbean vibes. I pulled up for their Creole Brunch and loved how the menu was limited, making it easy to focus on the quality of each dish. My absolute favorites were the Akra, Haitian-style spaghetti, and crispy bannan peze (fried plantains) all perfectly tied together with their spicy, zesty pikliz (top tier, no debate 👌🏽). What really made the brunch unforgettable were the vibes. what really made the brunch unforgettable were the vibes. The DJ had people dancing between bites, and the live performance from @RAYHANS made it even more special. I went with family, met new faces, and left full and happy. Overall, I’d rate it a 3/5, the food + vibes definitely make this spot a must-visit in Marietta if you want authentic Caribbean flavor with a side of fun. #food #blogger #fyp #atlanta #haitiantiktok

I purchased a Groupon 2 weeks ago to use for date night today. Before we began ordering, I informed the waiter of my Groupon and he immediately said “No! We don’t take those!” I said “I just purchased it, since when you stop taking it. I can even purchase another right now.” He said they been stop taking them after the first 2 attempts of people redeeming them. We asked for the manager and he put on the phone to speak to some man. He made no exception for us AND I couldn’t get me money back from Groupon. We ate there anyway hoping the food would be worth the hassle but the food was honestly pretty horrible. I ordered curry chicken and they told me it was a 2 hour wait. We were the only ones there. The djon djon rice was dry and obviously microwaved and so were the wings and Mac n cheese. The pikliz looks interesting too. Disgusting. I couldn’t eat it. Nothing “Carribbean” or Haitian about it. Just terrible. We ended up spending almost $70 for terrible food. Never again. **Amended response to this restaurant:** I’m not sure what a kokorat is but either way my experience is my experience. I had a terrible experience with your restaurant and it’s ok. Kudos to you finding people who enjoyed your food. I don’t work in the food industry so I don’t know anything about microwaved meals being served to customers but your meals didn’t appear “fresh” at all. (Again, in my opinion) Also while you’re checking cameras, check one more time to see/hear your server state that I would have to wait 2 hrs for curry chicken. Not that I waited 2 hours for my food. In addition, I never heard of your restaurant until I saw it on Groupon. People shop there to try new things. I was excited to do just that but unfortunately I was quickly disappointed. Your dealings with Groupon has nothing to do with me as a customer. Yes, you gave us a 20% discount BUT you also charged us an 18% gratuity fee for 2 people that is typically charged on groups of 6 ppl or more. Now THAT is unfair. Anyway, carry on and much luck to your business moving forward.

Was on Google map looking up restaurants and found this gem tucked away... very nice ambience, staff very nice, professional, and attentive, food.....OMG.....Excellent & did I say impeccable service... I ordered fried turkey, cabbage, black rice, plantains & not pictured, beef patty. The food was incredible 😋 Here's why iLounge receive extra praise: I didn't see my cabbage & figured the chief made a mistake & forgot to add it to my meal.....but they placed it underneath the foil, but I wasn't aware of this. Im feeling a little frustrated because I made it home..... I called & spoke with a gentleman....I think he was the manager & with no hesitation, he was prepared to travel to bring it to me....The chief instructed me to check underneath the foil & it was there. Now, that's what you call Great & Impeccable customer service. I see why they receive 5 stars Got to try them....Im a 1st time customer and will definitely return. Told my brother & sister-in-law about my experience and this evening they traveled from Decatur to try them out and were not disappointed

Ive written a review for this restaurant before because the food is delicious but some things need to be said.

I had to many incidents there that left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended).

1st incident: I placed an order over the phone for pickup, paid for it and was told it would be ready in 15 mins but I know Haitians so I timed it to arrive after 25 minutes. You guessed it, she didn’t even out my order it. I got there and that’s when they’re asking me what I ordered and the lady who took my order in apparently didn’t know how the system work and didn’t put it in correctly. Okay cool, mistakes happen. But train your workers, I ended up waiting ~ 45 minutes for my food. And it didn’t not taste like it usually does, very disappointing in taste in service. Train your workers.

Incident #2: Went there for dinner with my friend. We got seated by whom we later learned was our server. She sat us and disappeared. Another young lady came in and brought us water. 15 minutes later still no server, 20 minutes a gentleman came and asked us if we’ve already ordered. We told him we haven’t because our server had not came by our table yet. A few minutes later, she came to take our order. That’s when we learned that she’s the person who sat us. 5 star for the food 2 star for the service

Incident #3: I tried to place an order for pickup on DoorDash but the Mac and cheese wasn’t listed on there so I called it in. I ordered two Mac & cheese, rice and akra at 8:30 PM, the young lady told me the order would be ready in 15 minutes, asked me for a name and said that she’ll see me soon. Before she got off the phone, I made sure to mention the DoorDash issue she said she’ll mentioned it to the order (this is just to show you that we had some time for her to mention any information needed to me during the interaction). 9:00 pm I went to pick up the food, once I arrive. I was told that they don’t have an order for me because I didn’t pay over the phone. No time during the phone interaction did she mention that, that’s an important information.

AGAIN YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOUR WORKERS, ESPECIALLY IF THEY’RE TAKING PHONE ORDERS.

Delicious food is not enough for good business, you need to have decent customer service all around....

This was my first experience with Haitian cuisine. I’m not going say it will be my last but it will be my last going here. I’m a serious foodie! I take my food seriously, like don’t play with my food. This disappointed me so much. How are you calling yourself a Caribbean restaurant and there is absolutely no flavor. Before y’all say oh you’re from Ga you don’t know what Caribbean food is. Mute that!!, I’m from NYC , went to high school in Bklyn surrounded by folks from every Caribbean country. My ex mother in law is Trinidadian my husband is from India and I’m black and Dominican. So yeah I know Caribbean flavor. The only thing that was palatable was the lemon pepper wings that was our appetizer. The fried chicken with the rice and peas was dry and flavorless and cold. The 2 plantains that was on the plate were like crackers over cooked and hard. My husband had the stew goat with rice and peas. Why was the stewed goat dry and crunchy? See comment above about the rice and peas. They said they weren’t going hookahs but 15 minutes later a group came in and they were smoking hookahs with one of the staff. Then they add a 15% gratuity on your bill you have no choice but to give a tip. It doesn’t matter if the service was good or bad. None of the food looked like the Haitian food being cooked on TikTok, Instagram or you tube. I need some Haitian friends so I can go to their house and have some real Haitian food.

In reply to the owner’s comment a customer that was sitting behind my husband and I complained about a dish not being good and the waitress said and I quote” since you’ve bitten the food you will have to pay for it. Let me speak with my manager and see if I can help you out. The answer was you will have to pay for it.“ yes the food was cold ,dry and flavorless. Our waitress and the lemon pepper wings was the only highlight of the meal. She can only do as much as she can. I can’t blame her for the food because she wasn’t cooking it. The menu in the restaurant didn’t have half the items on the online menu. The restaurant is nice and clean. the ambience was on point along with the music and the music videos being shown. But the food took...
