McHappy's Donuts and Bake Shoppe — Restaurant in Marietta

My husband and myself has went to this McHappys ever since it has been open. We have always been very satisfied with the products. We decided to try something different and eat in the bakery for a change. I ordered something that turned out to be frozen and I couldn't eat it there. I told the lady working there that it was frozen and she "didn't know anything about that". In other words it wasn't her problem. If I would have known it was frozen, I would not have ordered it because we were eating there. My husband ordered coffee with cream with his doughnut. His coffee didn't taste good and when he took the lid off his cup it looked like there was very little coffee in it. It looked like all cream and water. He asked the lady if she could put a little more coffee in his cup (he had two sips) and she said, I will have to charge you ". We will never eat in that McHappys again. We learned our lesson. By the way our total was around $13.00 for 2 individual pastry/doughnut, coffee and milk. I thought that was a little outrageous. My suggestion is stick to...

Dry donuts. Terrible Coffee. We stopped with our daughter on a trip back to NC from NE Ohio in Marietta to meet a friend for a bit. We bought donuts and water and coffee.after 45 mins, husband and I went to our car and told the girls a few more minutes as we needed to get back on the road. Less than 5 minutes later they came outside and said the lady told them they had been sitting there too long without buying anything...and the owners were watching on camera. My daughter said my parents bought stuff! The lady said oh well, you need to leave....

The donuts are good, better than the so very not fresh donuts at the chain coffee shops. In fact, we enjoyed them so much that we had them at our wedding, but we no longer stop in. They keep raising their prices and recently raised their prices to the point that they are close to double what J R's Donuts are (another, better shop not that far away). So, their competition is better priced and seem to have fresh donuts more often throughout the day. You lost is us...
