We looked at a lot of properties for Marietta's Sternwheeler Festival and finally settled on the Hampton Inn. As a Hilton property we were comfortable there would be no surprises. The location was far from the festivities but there was a nightly shuttle at no cost. The property is great. Smooth check in. Large clean room. Super shower. Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. A patio with gas fire pit. Business center, gym. It has it all. The breakfast selection was huge with fruit, eggs, protein, and everything else you might want. Lots of seating and kept clean and tidy. But the thing that really made a difference was Cindy at the front desk. An absolute jewel. Smart, helpful, warm and friendly. Read moreI like staying at Hampton’s because I know what to expect and this one was no exception. The service at the front desk was excellent…friendly associate and I received my two complimentary waters. Plenty of luggage carts. The room was big and very clean. The windows are small based on the design of the hotel but we had enough natural light. The breakfast was as expected…plenty of variety of hot and cold items. The lady maintaining the breakfast gave me a big smile when we crossed paths…always a plus! The hotel location is right off the interstate and a little over a mile from town. We had planned to walk the river path into town which is behind the hotel but it was too hot that day. We instead drove in and found free street parking. If you are looking for a place to eat in town, check out my other review for Marietta. Overall this was a nice stop for the night on our way to our final...
