Where to start, traveled from out of state to attend dog shows in the area, had two rooms booked in advance for myself, dog handler. I did notify at that time, I would be bringing chihuahuas, was told they are pet friendly, no mention of any additional pet fees. Arrived after 10pm Friday night, I was greeted by men at the lobby door that smelled strongly of alcohol, insisted on grabbing my luggage, after I repeatedly stated I did not need any help, proceeded to ask my plans for the night. Very uncomfortable for a woman traveling alone. Next, the woman at the front desk informed me, I would have to pay an additional $25 per night/ per pet fee. She did say she would allow me to slide on one dog, since I was not informed about this in advance. I paid the bill for both rooms & including pet fees. When I got to my room the door would not lock from the outside, only the inside latch. My TV would not work, there were cigarette burn marks on my bed, it's listed as a smoke free facility. It just continued to be problems throughout the remaining stay, the door now wouldn't open with the key card. And another guest stated she had the same problem. My handler arrived, was put in the room next to me, room 119. Her TV also didn't work, her room had a serious cockroach problem. We then decided to read reviews, (huge error on my part). I only looked at the photos when booking, which showed a pool & a gym, (they had neither), appeared very clean. We found complaints about cockroaches from 4 months prior! We checked out at 7am Sunday, we would have stayed in our vehicles over staying at this location, if not for having the dogs with us. At check out, I notified the front desk of the cockroach problem, have several photos, she wanted to argue that we should have said something sooner. But, what good would that have done? We were several hours from home, decided just to sleep with the lights on, in hopes of keeping the cockroaches away. Then they decided to charge my card the additional fee for the dog she originally said I could slide on, I believe, because...
Read moreDirty place that makes up their own rules. Definitely the worst place I've stayed and I travel constantly! 195k miles last year! Since they want to violate laws let me post the policy they are trying to enforce rather than correcting the disruptive guests smoking meth, weed and always hiding behind the dropped storage container in the parking lot since the weed smoke smell is okay but the meth smell is only occasionally okay .. depends on who's working I guess! The policy that is not posted online anywhere states that ALL DOG OWNERS STAYING THERE MUST PAY A 300$ CASH DEPOSIT WITH ONLY 250 REFUNDABLE, AND THIS APPLYS TO SERVICE DOGS! NOT ANIMALS... If it applied to ANIMALS no one would stay there since the animals seem to run the place. Consistently running up and down the Halls screaming tapping on the door and purposely standing at my door for hours talking and trying to arouse my German Shepherd who DORMES NOT EVER BARK UNLESS TAUNTED! ANOTHER question... why is the old lady that's very mouthy who DONT work there going through the computer and looking at people's info. She's not on the payroll the old man in oxygen is and he was out on the lawn shaking hands like the president! I'm not a doctor but I really believe she has severe dimensia and a very violent temper since she can't even answer one question without yelling or thinking it's a problem. I asked if the manager or owner was around and she started saying Bobs out there and he's the man. I suppose you have a problem too! I guess it's yes.. it was also and the problem clearly is her! . I HIGHLY recommend everyone avoid this place and pay a little more for the Hampton...
Read moreHow do I give this zero stars? I didn’t even make it to my room because the front desk staff was so rude and so I called Expedia to fix it or cancel. My reservation wasn’t in the system and Expedia tried to call but he wouldn’t or couldn’t confirm my reservation. It was 10pm at night, my husband and I (and I’m pregnant) were traveling and had our 2 year old with us. Tired, just wanted a bed to lay our heads, we were at the mercy of this hotel’s antiquated system. He said I had to wait. I called Expedia and still after 15 minutes no update to their system so I decided to wait in my car for Expedia to fix this mess. I watched a bunch of shady characters check in then the front desk guy comes out, lights a cigarette and comes to my car door and wants to talk to me while he’s smoking! Luckily my window is up and I’m on the phone so I ignore this so he goes around to my husband’s side and tries to be nice about it. By then I’ve cancelled and rebooked with Wyndham across the street who had no problems with my booking after 5 minutes with Expedia! Nicer, cleaner, friendlier staff and clientele! Lesson learned, you get what you pay for! Don’t go to...
