CHECK YOUR DRINK CAREFULLY, THEY ALWAYS FORGET BOBA TOPPING
I have been here several times at the Square one and faced repeated issues from their staffs. They always forgot topping. I always ordered bubble tea with 1 additional topping. Sometimes I did not notice if there was missing ones just because the round shapes are too similar, besides, I either ordered to-go or refused to get receipt, so I did not have chance to ask servers. Until last month, I accidentally ordered bubble tea 2 different types of toppings: jelly and popping, thanks to this, I could distinguish the differences in taste and "feelings" (jelly is chewy and poppings can be broken with pop sounds) after the first gulp. I got in line again and waited until my turn, asked about the missing one. The cashier carefully checked my cup, sent me to another server who took my drink, then that person, without a word, brought out 1 spoon of the missing topping. After that I am 100% sure they missed my additional toppings thanks to the shapes: round (popping) vs rectangle (jelly).
2 week ago at the music event, I ordered buble tea. Again, they missed 1 topping. I am sure about this if I compare with the height of boba levels as what they mistook last time. However, it was not easy to prove since the additional topping is lychee, which was too similar to tapioca. I quited!
My questions: Why you guys didn't even say any sorry to customer once you found out the mistake? Besides, after finding out the issue, I got in line again as new customer, patiently waited to be served too long that my friend finished his drink already. I saw servers were busy, but when my turn came, the cashier was just standing there for more than 5 mins, just standing!
The last time I came there, it was in the late of the music event, so the boba shop was not really busy. I saw newly updated notification about customer service, kind of "aware of the staffs' hectic times..." I also ordered 1 additional topping. And this time, they forgot again. For the 1st time as shared above, I could give empathy, but this slow time.
It seems that this boba tea shop prefer their own privilege rather than return-customers, service qualities.
There is also no label which shared details about what customers ordered, so forget about complaints if you accidentally order too...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I visited this boba shop on 5/24/2024 at 7:45 pm. Being that I have life threatening food allergies, I ask workers at every restaurant if it is safe for me to consume their food (nut and tree allergy). When I asked the manager of the establishment this question she responded with âI donât know the ingredients of any of the teasâ. Well I thought that was a bit unprofessional being that she is the manager and she does not know the ingredients of the food sheâs working with. I asked if she uses any nut milks⌠and she replies with âYes almond milk and we also use oat milk.â I decided (at my own risk) to purchase a drink to make my day a bit better and that was a HUGE mistake. When I received the drink it was unsweet (I chose 75% sweetness). I expressed my dissatisfaction of my drink with the manager and she replied with sass and rudeness. Which made my day even worse. As I told the manager how unsweet the drink was and asked about other flavors she interrupted me with âIf you donât like this flavor then you wonât like that one.â Well I decided to choose the drink my boyfriend got. As I told the manager I would like his flavor to replace my old one she replied with âtaste his first before I make it to see if you like itâ. I was taken back by this reply. I told her âI already tried it and would like that flavorâ (some sort of strawberry cream). When I received my drink it had TOO much sugar in it. It was made overly sweet out of spite. I usually donât make reviews but my experience was so bad I had to let other potential customers know. If you or your children have food allergies DO...
Read moreI visited the Tea Bar in the Market today, excited to try the new soft-serve because I think the concept is super cool and really diversifies the offerings of what's available in the Square. Understandably, the line was busy and when it was my turn to order I asked for 2 samples of each flavor, one for me and one for my sister. The employees gave us my sample and I ordered a swirl with the tapioca pearls. When we asked again for my sister's sample, they gave us a pea-sized amount of each flavor. It was comical. When my order was ready, my cup wasn't quite filled like I observed other customers' to be. I apologized for bothering the employees, explained to them my issue, and then an employee took the cup back and said that she would remake it. When she turned to remake the cup, the employee who made the cup originally threw her hands up in exasperation and made a baffled expression as if my request was ridiculous. When I received the 'corrected' order, it was a duplicate of what I received originally and my problem was not addressed.
This experience was unfortunate because the soft-serve was really great; just as I had expexted it would be Unfortunately, the dismissive service that I received from the employees will keep me from returning to the Tea Bar. The service made me feel like my requests were just inconveniencing the employees and that I was not receiving the same quality of service of the...
