The General Historic Bar — Restaurant in Marina

I really cannot speak more highly of this place. If you're nearby or even not nearby and want to experience phenomenal customer service, amazing food, and a good atmosphere, you should definitely stop by. We stop by last night because we were looking for a place to just relax at the end of the day and we're thoroughly impressed by the bartenders, Bisher and Jazzy. Bisher made a couple custom cocktails and Jazzy recommended some epic tequila. After five failed bar attempts this week, it was a very nice to find good bartenders with a good attitude and a variety of drink choices.

On top of the amazing service, excellent drink selections, and custom cocktails, the food on the second day was above expectations. The bread is freshly made, The taziki and hummus were a refreshing treat, and don't get me started on on the entree.

I am convinced that after 6 different bar visits while driving through California, this is the only bar you should ever consider visiting here. Bisher and Jazzy are the most accommodating, knowledgeable bartenders in the area and they know how to make a well balanced, worth-while drink.

The atmosphere is calm while feeling cozy and personal with bartenders that are just talkative enough and knowledgeable about the area and localities.

Don't skip this place, or you'll miss some of the finest service in the state and decent prices + Mediterranean food options to boot. (hummus, tatziki and spanakopita are incredible options)

What a wonderful experience! My fiance and I are visiting the area for the weekend and I was looking for a place that had vegan options, chill vibes, and great energy.

I was a bit thrown off when I thought it was only a restaurant... only to discover a speak easy with TOP service (Bisher helped us tonight and he was so informative about the establishment, gave us great feedback and service, and was just simply wonderful to interact with!)

I was impressed and floored with the food, service, and drinks! The beer selection was awesome and I loved my whiskey peach cocktail! Bisher went above and beyond and we plan to make plans to stop by one more time on our way...
