Understaffed, ridiculous wait time, and was very disappointed with the food when it finally came. Line didn't look especially long when we arrived, about 6-8 people ahead of us .We waited about 10 minutes to order. Price is based on size but they don't display the sizes anywhere so all you have to go on is the cashier holding up her fingers. Waited 15-20 minutes to get our 2 sandwiches; there are very few tables so we had to stand in the center of the room while we waited. The kitchen could have used more hands on duty, but the staff that was there certainly weren't moving very quickly either (I don't really blame them, I'm sure they're not very well paid for what they have to put up with).
Sandwiches finally arrived and were pretty disappointing. Very skimpy on their meats, my partner's sandwich had a single strip of bacon going across the whole thing. I had au jus with mine, and it was very watered down, didn't have much flavor to it. The Dutch Crunch bread had absolutely no crunch to it; soft and silent.
To be fair, some items may be better than others. And if you go when there's nobody there, and have a reasonable expectation for what you're getting, I guess it might be worthwhile. But don't bother if there's any sort of a line, and don't expect anything rivaling a true deli sandwich. I personally will not be wasting my time or money...

D.D. is in the nearby of a bunch of fresh-sounding quck-food places, some a little worrisome like Teriyaki Madness (I think it was called). DD is not glamorous, but Oh! the food. Even the mini sandwiches are filling, and all are freshly prepared by happy people and charged lightly. I kept going for the #42 Works on Dutch Crunch (Phillie Cheesesteak), then the other day tried Chicken Adobo (also Dutch Crunch, got to find out how to bake that). I'm a convert. Add beer-batter french fries and a soft drink, my wife and I ate extravagantly for under $20. We'll go back....
Read moreNice clean little sandwich shop. Friendly staff. Repeated the order to make sure he had it correct. Food prepared in good time with a crowd. I got two small sided sandwiches, curly fries, regular fries and two medium drinks. Sandwich was so good! I was full after the first half of the sandwich. Lots of good flavors. I want to try the beer battered fries, I seen the order of them as I was leaving. Finally a cool deli spot that really hits the mark. My favorite Monterey sandwich shop closes super early, so there's a good chance Deli Delicious may become...
