9th Street Cafe — Restaurant in Marion

tenderloins are from the 9th Street Cafe in Marion Indiana. we've been wanting to try this place but it was closed a lot during covid. breaded tenderloin was nice and thick with a light crispy breading. five stars. the grilled tenderloin was also thick but a little dry four stars. the buns were good but they disintegrated totally useless about halfway through. onion rings nice and thick onions five stars. it's really hard to screw up tater tots but they did these were just funky. kind of tasted like raw potato on the inside. maybe they took them straight from the freezer to the fryer. definitely need salt. the funniest part is we ask if they'll put our tenderloins in foil instead of Styrofoam and this time they did both they wrapped the Styrofoam in foil. lose half a point for using styrofoam really need something compostable can't keep doing this...

I love this place alltogether, the gals that work there are great and friendly, the cook or cooks are awesome. It's a neighborhood place for me bc I live close, & I'm glad bc it's one of the better places to eat. There food is like home cooked & tasty. They serve breakfast all day. I love the hungry man's breakfast it used to be $9.10 but recently their prices went up now it's $13.60...it's a big jump but I can tell u this...doesn't matter if you are a regular there and u get the hungrymans breakfest you will gladly pay up the extra to continue getting the WHOLE LEFT SIDE OF THE MENU!!! CAUSE ITS JUST THAT GOOD. If you drive thru Marion(bc that's all u should do here in addition to getting sum food from a few places) & 9th st cafe is definitely one to hit on...

I wasn't even able to be served before I was kicked out of the facility for bringing in a Starbucks caramel frappuccino to order a takeout. There were two ladies behind the desk about 10:15 on a Saturday wanted to order a takeout I thought no problems no problems nope. She made me so uncomfortable and was so rude to me oh the health department says we can't have any outside drinks I'm like are you kidding me. When was this ever a rule in almost every restaurant I understand what your rules are but if it's a rule say it Don't hide behind the food department says we can't have outside drinks in our facility as you're waiting for a takeout...
