Golden Palace Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Marion

MOST DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE! NEVER GOING BACK! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a lil while now for the lunch buffet, the food was good but the Chinese women working had her two little kids there (I'd say they're about 5 & 7) and they were hanging over from the booth next to us and just stared at us while we ate. They then tried talking to us. The women didn't do anything to stop them, even when asked to. Then we went to their dinner buffet; TERRIBLE. Food was all dried out and the same kids were just wondering around and being loud (not the environment I want when I'm trying to relax and eat, especially when their dinner buffet is WAY overpriced for the quality and dealing with their kids). We gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again last night (7/13/15) again it was TERRIBLE! Food dried out AGAIN! and their was very little to even choose from this time. And then the worst thing happened: the waitress was separating silverware behind us and we watched as she handed her little daughter (the same one mentioned before) soup spoons and told her to put them over by the soup. We then watched as the little girl PUT ALL OF THE SPOONS IN HER MOUTH AND PROCEEDED TO PUT THEM OVER BY THE SOUPS!!! As we were leaving the little boy who's younger started to clear our table (we were the ONLY people in there so why couldn't their mother, also the waitress, do it herself??????) This place is disgusting and will never get our service again! It needs to...

Stopped around 8:30 tonight and ordered to go. I got beef & mushroom, my bf ordered general's chicken and we got a side of crab Rangoons. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. The General's chicken was not spicy at all. More like a sweet n sour sauce was used. The rangoons are ok but we only received one small cup for 2 dinners that each contained a side (eggroll & rangoon) as well as an order of 6 rangoons. The worst is the beef & mushroom. Not only were there other veggies in It, it was the most flavorless pile of crap I've ever encountered. While the mushrooms are huge, there was literally no flavor to the sauce used. Even dousing the dish in soy sauce did nothing to improve this. I am fairly sure this is how canned dog food probably tastes. Lastly, dinner is typically served with the rice in a container separate from the main dish itself. They serve their dinners in the same container as the rice. Not cool. Overall, worst Chinese...

It's not the shiniest of places but the food is, well, golden haha!! I love it! I haven't tried the buffet so I can't speak as to what that's like, I usually order ahead and my food has always been perfect and delicious. I don't really stray from my favorites, sweet orange chicken (they actuallyonly have spicy orange chicken on their menu, but always take care of me and make it without any of the spiciness), sesame chicken, and my all-time favorite, pork fried rice, which I can't find anywhere else. Not that I'd want to. The location is great for us, it's about three minutes away and so easy to order ahead and pick up and then we have an amazing lunch or dinner. Even my four-year-old daughter loves it. When we drive up she starts yelling "rice! rice! rice! rice!" I've never received a bad order, not once. I am so glad that...
