The pizza Ranch in Marion is fabulous, compared to the CR one! The night we came to the Marion PR, we received good service & great food. They came frequently to take our used dishes. Tables were cleaned off. No stacked dishes on tables, as I have read in other reviews. Either things have really improved or we were there on great night! They had good, fresh food, clean dishes, silverware & cups and the place is clean. The service was excellent. Everything was really great. We had a good time with our grandson, eating there & playing in the game room! We plan to come to THIS Pizza Ranch from now on, every time we decide to go a Pizza Ranch. We live in NW Cedar Rapids, but due to the bad conditions at the one close to us, (explained below), we prefer to eat where things are kept clean & service is better, (unlike the Pizza Ranch on the SW side of CR):
We will NO LONGER be frequenting that one because the food runs out regularly & takes forever to get replaced. It's DIRTY in the Cedar Rapids Pizza Ranch restaurant. Tables are dirty. Last time we were there, there were food particles on all the plates (& there have been at other times, too), smudged/dirty silverware & filthy cups. I pointed that out to the evening manager. They gave us more DIRTY cups to use. We had to wash our dishes in the bathroom b4 we used them! Makes me REALLY WONDER about the FOOD! Later, the manager or supervisor, (whatever he was), came to me & said, "We found out that the dishwasher is almost out of soap. That's why all the dishes weren't cleaned." GROSS...THEY COULDN'T SEE THAT, THEMSELVES? I HAD TO POINT OUT HOW DIRTY EVERYTHING WAS? THAT'S RIDIC & NASTY! It also doesn't explain WHY there are almost always at least a small amount of food particles on the plates everyone serve been there. We SHOULD have just left, but the small kids wanted to eat there & go to the play room, so we stayed that one last time. From now on, WE WILL DRIVE TO THE MARION PIZZA RANCH TO EAT WHERE THINGS WERE CLEAN & SERVICE WAS GREAT for us! THANK YOU, MARION! Please, KEEP UP...
Read moreWhere to start……. Came to celebrate my daughters 8th birthday. Food selection was mediocre at best, no silverware, so they where handing out plastic silverware. Not the end of the world but added to the disappointment. The worst part is after we ate we told the kids we would let them play in the arcade. At 6pm I put 25 dollars Into the kiosk for 2 playing cards. The machine did not give us the cards and said ask attendant for assistance. My wife went to find someone. A few minutes later an employee came back to help. He could not fix the machine. So he went to get the manager. He the. Came back to tell us the manager is busy and it would be a few minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes my wife and kids left. I waited an additional 10 minutes then I Went up front to find the manager. He said he had to help all of his customers in line before he can help me. I pointed out the stream of people coming In the door and that I didn’t have all night. Commenting that I too was a paying customer. I asked if another employee could work this station so he could help me. He said no. After a minute or so of waiting miraculously another employee asked if he could work the station so the manager could help me. He reluctantly agreed. When we got back to the arcade room I asked for my money back as my wife and kids had already left due to the problems. He said nope. I’ll give you your cards but I can’t give me my money back. I asked way and he said to talk to corporate. I call Bs that he couldn’t help me out. I will never go back to Pizza Ranch again. Which I’m sure they could care less. I hope the mom with young kids waiting in line behind me enjoyed the arcade cards I gave them because there is no way I’m bringing my family back...
Read moreBack in November 2024 I called and booked one of the rooms for our group to have a meeting in. I was informed we were the first ones to book a room for that date. I had booked the room for February 1, 2025. I called a couple days prior to make sure that we still had the room and we did. Saturday I arrived and was told which rooms we had. When we went to use the room another group had taken it over. The manager had another employee go in and talk with the group that had taken it from us. This employee even had the reservation form to show this other group that they had no reservation made. But the person in charge of that group basically bullied your employee into allowing them to stay in the room. They had no reservation that could be found, no matter what your employee said to the lady it was that the lady had it down on her calendar in her appointment book. This lady with this other group was not giving up on leaving the room to my group that had reserved it. It was at this point that the manager should have stepped in and tossed them out of the room. That group was proud of themselves for having bullied an older woman and kicked another group out of a room that they did not reserve. The employee tried to make it right by setting up another area for us, but it was way too noisy to have our meeting. Iowa Appaloosa Association was supposed to have the room that day. My name was on the sign outside of the room, along with the time we had...
