Tropical smoothie is one of my favorite places and I frequent the Ames location when I am in uni. When this store opened I was very excited, but have been disappointed time and time again. (I typically go through the drive-thru so this may just be relevant to that.) On one of my first visits I was given smoothies with no labels, the wrong food, and had three separate people handing me things through the window. I have had my food messed up, not received parts of an order that are supposed to come with menu items, and I have been given the wrong smoothie on multiple occasions. Today I was given a smoothie with banana, which I don't eat and was not what I ordered. I would like to trust that I will be getting EVERYTHING that is included in the description of what I order and be given the correct items, but every time I have to correct them or ask for something that they forgot. If you go through the drive through, you can count on waiting at least 10 minutes for a smoothie even if its not busy. Last time I went there was a girl sitting on the floor right in front of the food prep station on her phone while one person was working. Yall need to get some real management in this store, the one on edgewood is significantly more efficient. The owner ABSOLUTELY need to invest in a new speaker system its practically impossible to hear the employees and they literally always say " I'm sorry can you repeat that?" and you practically feel like your screaming at them by the end of it, or they just put down what they think they heard and mess up...

I was told no worries, they wouldn’t make the smoothie and the manager or owner would call me back to refund me. Days went by and I called the store at least 5 times and was never able to talk to the manager or owner, but left my information every time, hoping to receive a call back or have a refund appear.
