Good eating right here! I'm from Texas, recently moved and was disappointed to not have any nearby buffets, especially since we've had a few down south! Glad to have this place. The food is pretty good and id say so far it's fresh each time we have visited. The hibachi grill is my favorite, and it features steak! The price for two adults, no drinks rounds out to 34$ after tax! Not bad, almost worth being regulars here. Id say a price of 29$ for two would be more ideal but who's gonna pay for those steaks! Haha good food and service is great! Plenty of choices, and variety! I was surprised to see they were the exact same style as Yum Yums in Kokomo. If I may make some suggestions, while food is good here there are some things that would need to be rotated to maintain good condition. I love frog legs and this place happens to have them but since my first visit I have not been able to enjoy them freshly! I would suggest cooking low quantities of these items and keeping an eye on them since I know not everyone loves them. I would hate to see them go! (Update: I've been back here and the frog legs were delicious! Fresh and seasoned well!! ) Otherwise pretty tasty affordable dining at this buffet! The desserts are good too, and I enjoy the ice cream. The area is kept clean and maintained well! Here's a dessert recommendation for anyone with great taste; Grab a bowl for Ice cream, but before the ice cream, get a piece of caramel cinnamon cake, and if you like pudding, a small spoon of chocolate pudding (or regular) then add your ice cream of choice. I used Cookies and Cream and well ah! Cinnamon Pudding ice cream! We will be back!

We were excited to finally get a Chinese buffet back in Marion. The food was excellent. All of the food selections were very fresh. The restaurant was very clean and well lit. They had a magnificent selection of sushi. I will have to say that the wasabi was not hot, which can be a plus. You just have to know to use a little more. The hot and sour soup, which is usually my favorite, was done very nicely. They had an excellent selection of salads and desserts including a nice selection of ice cream. The one downside about our visit was the service. The service was very poor. Now given that they had only been open for a few days, this is understandable. We will expect better service next time though. We had to practically beg for our bill and we were given almost no drink refills without hunting someone down. We are definitely looking forward to more fine food and service in the future. We are looking forward to exploring the Mongolian grill the next time we go. Update: We went back and the service was excellent this time. The Mongolian grill was amazing. But don't go too late in the day because they close at 9:00.

We went around 4pm and it was getting packed. The food was overcooked and some of the appetizers: teriyaki chicken sticks, wontons, and the rice were all hard! No one was manning the buffet areas, there was food on the space before the trays of food-every where. Some of the sauces were separating. Not very appealing! On the way out we ran into a couple and referred them elsewhere. We won’t be back. Hubs said we’ll drive the extra to go to Kokomo.

I don't normally do buffets of any kind-even homemade at a relative or friend's home. If I go. I don't eat much. My friend picked King Buffet for lunch and we were all surprised by my reaction! First, the service at table was great! Not just a once in a long while stop for the pile of plates, but our drinks were always remembered and full. Not a server passed without asking how we were finding everything, could they help with anything, etc. The sushi was phenomenal, with a large variety and all of it fresh. None of the food, at any of the many stations had been ignored-not even for a moment. Everything was well stocked and seemed as if a fresh batch had been set out the second before you got there. The hibachi grill is freshly stocked with a nice array of choices (I don't know how anyone keeps raw, shelled/deveined shrimp look fresh-no matter how fresh it is, the color alone looks suspect- but they do!) The chef asks the right questions before he prepares your meal-including great references to what their levels of spicy compare to...and will honestly tell you if you may not appreciate certain levels of spice and offers alternatives. Their pricing is super fair and I really have to say, the items they offer for sale up by the register/front counter are not only cute, or pretty, etc. Everything is well made, nicely priced, and not blocking anything else. All well displayed and I didn't knock anything over bcz I had to reach over products to get to the cashier. I love great deals on nice stuff, but not when it's in the way of normal activities. King Buffet is our #1 favorite place to go when we're treating ourselves to a meal out. I've been dodging buffet style restaurants for over 50 years, never have I ever found one I ate a full meal at-let alone one I would choose to dine at again. Not until King Buffet in...
