New York Gyro Marion — Restaurant in Marion

Wife found this hole in the wall gem. Parking lot was almost empty when we pulled in on a Friday for dinner which worried me a bit. Reviews were positive so we gave it a shot. Discovered most patrons are local and swing in or walk in with online orders. I don't remember your guy behind the grill but he was rocking the burners. We both had the New York Gyros and they were AWESOME! Lots of meat, plenty of tzatziki sauce, lots of greens and generous with tomatoes. The fries were good too. Thanks! We will be back with friends. Oh, only a couple, (3), booths, so, if busy, suggest a grab and stop at local park if dining in area. (Or car 😁)...

I have to say, the gyro I had here was pretty tasty. However, it was so big I couldn’t wrap it up properly so I used a fork and knife. It still tasted good; tender meat and fresh veggies made for an enjoyable gyro.

The fries were delicious too. The lemon pepper seasoning gave them some good flavor.

Can’t say I was a fan of the natural soda (I found it to be rather bitter) I chose but I had no clue what it was like.

The place is small and seems like take out is a better option than dining in.

Overall, the hey did their gyros well. I’ll give them another...

I absolutely loved the food at New York Gyro! The catfish was exceptional—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had.
