The location, atmosphere, and feel were good. It has an older rustic feeling; once you walk in, it is a slightly newer feel but retains that antique and diner atmosphere. You have the option to dine outside (weather permitting) or inside.
The location has a few stores that are leased out to a small business that open for some hours throughout the week, making it a small destination stop with food, drinks, and coffee.
We decided to give a few items a try. The waffles, croissant, eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes, as well as the chorizo burrito.
A couple things to note. The eggs and bacon as a platter used real eggs. I believe the egg for the burrito and croissant sandwich was liquid eggs and had a distinct taste of liquid eggs.
Our favorite was the Waffles. They did not come out browned (we like them more like a cake ourselves, many others like the browned and crispier ones), so I thought I would point that out.
The croissant and Burrito were both heavily seasoned and just far too salty. For this reason, we only had a few bites and would be why we gave 3 stars. It could be an off visit, but it was definitely far over seasoned.
The coffee was great! I got an Iced Carmel macchiato with an extra shot and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The owner stopped by to grab our dishes and let us know that they started about 4 months before Covid and have been around since.
One note that I believe would help take this business to the next level would be the front area where orders and drinks are made. They had 1 person staffing it. It seemed as if she was doing the orders and making drinks. I saw a few people that had to wait well over 10 minutes for beverages and believe if they had a dedicated drink person, that would take them to the next level. Water is available as a self server option in the dining area.
I should end with I would revisit the location to see if we have the same experience with food but would come again for coffee as long as the wait...
Read moreBurrito/Scramble was fantastic, good amount of food for the price. Side salad was half a cheap paper plate was fine. Regular Greek salad was WAYYY too much money for a small cheap paper plate worth of salad. It was pathetic. BLTA tasted great but dont think the piece of avocado you will be getting is anything more than a sliver. I was truly worried about amount of the food i was going to receive. My mantra is charge me more and then give me a huge amount of food. Let me decide what to take home with me. Ambiance was absolutely wonderful. Plus at some point the small shops are open which would have been nice to walk through. Outside seating is substantial in well covered spaces. 2x bathrooms available. Prices are between $7-12 for almost everything.
Great coffee also a small liquor selection you dont often see at a coffee shop.
Definitely try the soup.
Also some...
Read moreMy husband and I go to West End a few times per month and always enjoy it. But lately not as much, which is really sad as it is one of our go-to places. We usually split a wrap, specifically the Chicken Caeser wrap. We ordered one yesterday and there was maybe 5 little pieces of chicken in the entire wrap. Otherwise it was all lettuce. Probably will not get this wrap again as this has happened a few times. The main thing that we are disappointed with is being told at 1pm (one hour before closing on Sundays) that they no longer serve any drinks with espresso in it. That's more than half the drink menu. I understand being told no like 15 minutes before closing, but an hour seems excessive. I know that the espresso machine needs to be cleaned, but that seems like something that can be done closer to closing time and an adjustment in...
