Arby's — Restaurant in Marshalltown

Something has changed at this Arby's, or maybe you have to order inside instead of drive thru. It had been awhile, but Arby's was promoting burgers, and I wanted to treat my 👧 to a new burger. Well she got the French dip, I got the new bacon ranch burger. How can a place known for its roast beef, sandwiches, and curly fries et al, get this wrong? First it's smaller than burger from Hardee's, Burger King etc, and it was luke warm. The fries were cold, and all in all very disappointing. It's too bad, as done right, burgers can add a profitable menu item. There is no excuse for cold food, meant to be hot. It was busy, and I imagine burgers and fries were sitting out to long. If I wanted a cold sandwich, I would've ordered one of the clubs. Will I eat here again? Not for a period of time. I'll go to Hardee's or Culver's, for the same money or so, I get a...

We had 2 fish for $5 with curly fries & drinks. Always good food at Arby's. But I am not writing this review about the food. I'm writing this review about the employees. Damaris waited on us. We received excellent service with a very pleasant professional attitude. When she wasn't busy behind the counter she was wiping off tables, cleaning windows, emptying the trash. Your store was very clean. It was a joy to eat there. And the reason it is so clean is because you've encouraged your employees to work! So often nowadays you see employees on their phone or just standing around. Thank you Arby's for being a good employer. It's important our young people know how to work. It's the responsibility of the employers to show them how to do that....

Driving by I noticed on the marquee a 2 for 7 special and was interested in the roast beef and cheese sandwich as part of the special. I drove over to the restaurant and started to place my order. The guy at the drive up stated that special was no longer on and I had to make other choices. I told him that is on the marquee and that is why I stopped. He said he still could not honor what was being advertised. But I could have the new choices. Later he said he could not make my request because it would not ring up correctly. But he make me roast beef with no cheese. Made absolutely no sense. This place does not have a Think Customer mindset so I'm...
