Blues Hair Studio — Local services in Marshfield

HIGHLY recommend!! I have been going to blues for the last 3 years or so, and have received many different services (lash extensions, blowouts, treatments, haircut, balayage, highlights, lowlights, money pieces, blonding, darkening, etc!). I’ve gotten services done by everyone that works there, and have never had a single problem. I have always left absolutely loving my hair!! I’ve always been told that if there was something I didn’t like, they would be more than happy to fix it or arrange another time to fix it! However, I’ve never had to come back in for a fix, due to the fact that they are very well educated and always help each other out when providing a service. The teamwork and professionalism that I witness while at blues is outstanding. Every stylist is amazing at what they specialize in, but are pretty well versed in every aspect of the hair industry. With this salon, as every salon usually is, you get what you pay for. Do not expect to be paying box dye prices there, because that’s not what you are receiving. From my understanding, these stylists attend many conventions and hair education classes. They certainly know what they are doing, and will do what’s best for your hair! I also recommend checking out their salon products and consider purchasing some, my personal favorite is the keratin oil and the trauma treatment…my hair has never felt so amazing! I have gotten my hair lightened here on about 5 separate occasions. I was really happy with my blonde results the first time I went, it was cool toned and ashy like I had requested. I was listened to and my needs were met. However, the last few times, despite explaining what my hair goals are and having brought numerous pictures with me of what I want and explaining it thoroughly; I have left feeling unsatisfied and not listened to. I am never told that what I am requesting is out of reach so it is disappointing that with such high price points I leave the salon with results different from what I desired. The last time I did request a color correction which was supplied free of charge, but even with that correction appointment I still did not see the results I expected. I believe that they can do good work as I have seen the evidence of that, but I can't commit to this salon in the future if it is a 40-50% chance that they will listen carefully to the specific needs/concerns...

Do not recommend at all. My girlfriend had a shampoo and straightening. When she arrived she was not given a straighten and instead was charged $90 an hour to work on her hair. She was not updated about how much it would cost and was not told until the end when she was given a $300 plus dollar bill for the work they did. The manager Jaime was rude and told her to just cut all the hair that’s wasn’t in perfect condition instead of healing it. She was criticized and talk down to by the manager. Instead of telling her when they started working on her hair what their hourly fee is they just started work and then charged her for what they felt because they were not happy about having to work on her hair. I do not recommend anyone to come to this place or at least to deal with the manager. Hope something changes there. The manager is rude and has a pathetic...
