Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Martinez

Called in order for pickup. Guy answered phone by saying "Yeah" as if he was upset. I placed my order. Guy says 20 minutes in a rude way. As if I was bothering him. Then hangs up.

I go to store. As I'm walking to the door I see the guy sitting behind the counter. I enter to see the guy going to the back. I go to the counter. Nobody comes. I stand to the side so the cook sees me. Even though I can see Guy in the plexiglass window. The cook tells him someone is here. Still the Guy doesn't acknowledge me.

Finally, the Guy comes around from the back. Doesn't say anything to me. I say I'm here to pick up my order. He goes to the back, comes back with my pizza. Drops it on the counter. Rings it up. Tells me the price. I give him my credit card.

Guy prints out receipt to sign. Drops receipt on counter. Then drops a pin on the receipt. Guy says "Sign it!" Then makes the hand gesture for signing. I pick up the pen saying "I know what sign means."

I grab my pizza and leave. I get home and there are pepperonis that aren't cooked. Pepperoni slices were in clumps.

The customer service was terrible. Also, the pizza wasn't that great. I should have canceled my order from the beginning but wanted to give the place a chance.

Where do I even begin. I was greeted upon my entrance into this establishment with a warm and sincere smile from the young woman behind the counter. This staff member in no way rushed or pressured me into ordering as I browsed the menu, and was very efficient in correctly taking my order, even repeating each item to insure the size and other customaries were to my liking. As my order was relayed to the kitchen staff I exchanged waves and smiles with other employees who made it clear that their objective was to make my experience comfortable and memorable. I was given an estimated wait time of twenty minutes for my food to be prepared, but was both surprised and delighted to find both of my pies and cheese bread hot and ready when I returned to the restaurant five minutes early. Mountain Mikes in Martinez located on Arnold Dr is one of the finest pizza restaurants I've had the honor of being a patron at. They used to have pretty decent pizza, but not anymore. The chicken club pizza my wife brought home barely had anything on it - one would need a magnifying glass to find chicken or bacon on it. Unless they change something, I will not be a returning customer. Update - on 5/4/15 my wife ordered the chicken club pizza again, this time it was even worse - besides the cheese sauce, other bits were barely visible. Returned it to the place and I asked the guy to show it to his manager. It looks like some people should not be allowed to prepare...
