I’ve been to this chipotle a few times and I never had issues. Today however I went to go get lunch and I was getting a steak bowl with extra meat. When it got time to get the meat, I noticed that the first scoop of meet was normal and the second some of the meat fell off the spoon, unintentionally. I asked if I could get more meet because of this and he refused stating that I was already given extra meat. I let him know that I was paying for the extra and that I’ve seen the portion drop on the second scoop and that I’d simply was asking for that amount to be placed and not asking for extra. He refused and we argued about it. He stated he’d charge me for a third portion, I declined, then he stated he’d charge would make another bowl to show me that he made the correct portion, and I accepted his offer. HOWEVER, because he didn’t want to start the bowl over some we argued and it would put him in a potion to be made to look wrong, he decided to kick me out the store. I let him know that I had previously worked in a Chipotle for 3 years and I know that the amount of meat is the amount that fits in the plastic containers so extra meat should of fit in 2. I asked for a card for his GM and he pointed to it on the counter which I took and left. Mr. Joseff Garcia, please inform your manager that he not only built bad rapport with this costumers and was being snickered at by his fellow workers, rather than swallow his pride about the situation, he waisted 1 3/4 spoons full of steak that ultimately went in the trash along with white and brown rice, both beans and fajitas, which contributed to waist, me slowing down the line during lunch hours, and weakening of...
Read moreNot great, it was pretty unfair and a disrespectful experience.
So I deliberately planned to hit chipotle before my night shift after not eating for the day. When I got there I see they’re already doing the closing procedures. I check the time - 10:18. 40 minutes before closing - which is odd. I’ve worked in fast food for 6 years, typically if you wanted a head start you’d do 20 min max especially if short staffed but they actually have a full bustling staff.
Ok…I go to order my food and I’m told they don’t have a few ingredients including fajita veggies - to understand my burrito already would not have cheese, sour cream or meat. I think paying full price without even the fajita veggies was crossing the line. I asked if I could get a discount but was denied because “they told me” so I’d “have a choice.” Actually, no I don’t. I trusted chipotle to have options for an adequate burrito, I could not go somewhere else due to my tight schedule, I chose them, how foolish of me I guess. And to put a fine point on it, a discount from them would not cause them to lose money as a good deal of their expensive ingredients aren’t even being used, it would only make the pricing fairer. This is just greed and disrespect.
Since there was still more than a half an hour to closing, it’d take 8 minutes to eat the burrito, and they left some chairs off the tables (they set up for cleaning the floor) I thought I could eat my mediocre burrito and go - mistaken again. They wanted to close the lobby. I packed up and checked the hours, to make sure I haven’t missed something, like if the lobby closed at a certain time, but no, they just simply did not want to work the...
Read moreI am expressing my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience at your location today around 5:45 pm. This was my first time going to this location, I should have checked out the reviews on yelp first!
I attempted to place an order for our family of five. I was informed by your staff that there was a limit of two bowls per customer per transaction. This meant that to purchase meals for our entire family, Your staff informed me to complete multiple separate transactions, leaving the store and re-entering the line each time. That means I would have to be in line 3 separate times, 3 transactions in order to get 5 bowls!
When I questioned this policy and requested to speak with a manager, the manager on duty confirmed that this was indeed their policy and was extremely rude about it. This "policy" is completely unreasonable and created a significant inconvenience. It is absurd to expect a customer to repeatedly leave and rejoin a line simply to purchase a reasonable quantity of food for their family.
As a loyal Chipotle customer for many years, I have never encountered such a policy at any other location. We have been eating at Chipotle since it opened and have always been very satisfied.
Due to the inflexible and illogical nature of this policy and the unhelpful attitude of the manager, I was forced to abandon the order and take our business to another restaurant in Hagerstown, MD. This resulted in wasted time and a very negative impression of Chipotle.
Trust me, I will be complaining to corporate because this is beyond...
