Never again will I go to Starbucks. First of all, it is price-gauging. $5 for the smallest cappuccino plus tip to service people who should be getting substsntial raises if we are going to expect them to be competent and civil to customers. Other drinks end up costing $10 with tip for a single drink Second of all, the drive-through service is awful. Most days, that adds a 10-15 minute wait before claiming an order. Third, multiple menu items are routinely out of stock, including those used to make the drinks that bring people to Starbucks instead of Dunkin Donuts. Fourth, anyone who truly values coffee knows that Starbucks coffee is mediocre, neither good nor bad. No matter what syrup is added to it. It would be easier to buy some syrup at a grocery store and make the same drink at home or at the office.
My impression is that many of Starbucks customers are attracted by the price-gauging. Hey, they can say, I am so fussy about my cup of coffee that I spend $1500 a year on it, and I could afford more.
I have solved my need for coffee by getting a good stovetop moka pot and high-quality Italian coffee from Amazon to go with it. The result is light-years better than drip coffee, and yes, better than Starbucks while taking no more than 15 minutes to make a cup of coffee compared to 15 minutes waiting in line at Starbucks. So far, I haven't solved the drop-in convenience of Starbucks positioned every 100 yards but I remind myself of how much it costs and how much time it takes and how seldom I could get what I wanted at Starbucks.
Every profiteering corporation reaches a point when customers say it is not worth it to buy from them. Starbucks seems to be reaching that level. It...
Read moreIt’s pretty hard to mess up tea. I ordered a Trenta Black Iced Tea with no water and no ice. Unsweetened with 3 packs of honey. My 30oz cup had less than 6oz of tea in it AND they added 3 packs of honey to that small amount of tea. I called the store to complain and was told that their new policy is that when you order with no ice, you only get tea up to the bottom line where they would fill it when measuring out. I was also told they have no way of knowing if I want the “packs” of honey to come in packs or be added to the drink, so they added it. Just for giggles, I looked up the correct measured amounts, and then I added that amount of water and 2 cups of ice and I ended up with 1/2 of the full plastic cup. Additionally, there were filthy fingerprints and handprints all over the cup, even the lid and spout, so I had to pour it into my own cup to even taste test it.
Starbucks responded to my negative review asking m we to reach out. I reached out and was told to contact DoorDash customer service since I placed my order through their app. I explained twice that the issue was the way Starbucks made my drink and my conversation with the Starbucks manager. Still I was told to contact DoorDash. It took an hour to get to a live agent, explain the issues, etc. only to be told there is nothing Starbucks can do. Complete waste of an...
Read moreThis is my LEAST favorite Starbucks in the area!!
The drinks never taste the same as other locations and they are super slow at making the drinks. I have ordered in the app 15-20 minutes before I’m going to be there, then when I arrive, I have to wait another 10 or so minutes until the drinks are ready. I would understand if they were understaffed, but when there are six employees behind the counter, I’m confused why my three simple drinks take 30 minutes to make.
I will order 2-3 drinks at once. Enjoy one the day of and the other two, the next two days. I order two drinks with no ice, and they do not fill the cup up full. They are stingy and fill it about 3/4 of the way instead. Last time I checked ice was free and shouldn’t be the largest ingredient in my cup. I do not want the ice to melt down the flavor in the two drinks I will be consuming the following two days. When I order with no ice at the Hagerstown location in front of the Valley Mall, they fill my drink up to the top with no ice. This is how it should be done.
I will always choose to go to Starbucks inside Martins next door, over this Starbucks. Do not waste your time...
